Remarks
Because It has a good placement and it's tution fees is low as it's a government college. And it situated in a good city Chandigarh. As it's awrded as Best University in sports in India if you have a intereSt in sports it will be very good for you. My personal reason was less fees and good environment. You can learn many thing besided studies there. It has a very big liberary which opens 24 hours.
Course Curriculum Overview
There are many extra curricular activities with studies. As it's a central government based big university you will get to meet and know many students from around the india and foreign as well. Faculty and seniors are friendly. And studies are based on practical knowledge.
Placement Experience
Placement is good. There are mostly consultant companies offering 5lac to 6lac per annum. Amazon, zs, Dloyd are some good companies coming for placement, they offer 10 lac to 20 lac per annum. If you are in cs/it branch you are more likely to get assured placement because there campus placement percentage is 90% and ECE has 80% placement. I will go in hardware line and try to get in some digital electronics company like sandisk.
College Events
Social life is really very good. You got to meet many people from different different states. University is so vast that everything you need is available near your hostels. College have many clubs according to your interests. You can improve your skills by joining perticular ones. Infrastructure is good not very precious but enough good. Atleast have fans working in lecture halls.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is less in comparison to other good engineering colleges and you can get scolarship easily just by getting good marks. And if you belongs to EWS category then you can also take admission in EWS category and your fees will be full compensated.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are good. Food quality is superb according to rates. One time meal costs you only 40 rupees. You can pay it daily or you can open your account and pay it at the end of the month.
Admission
No there is nothing like that. You just have to go there once for verification of your documents. Admissions are based on your Jee mains score. You have to clear jee mains if you are taking admission in general category.
