Entrance Preview

Took UPSEE Entrance Exam, secured 509th rank by scoring 484 marks. Since this was the top college in UPTU, so Opted this HBTI Kanpur.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course Structure is very good. There is no electives until Final Year, but still all subjects in course structure are put perfectly for Student's growth in Engineering.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, a few companies come for Internship recruitment. In CSE, only TCS came for internship recruitment.

Placement Experience

Placements and job opportunities are very good here in this college. About more than 90% in CSE branch were placed last year(2016 batch). Avg Package were around 4-5 lac.

College Events

Each Branch has its own Annual Technical Festival, while there's Annual Cultural Fest, Sports Fest as well which are beautifully organised by students of our college.

Fee Structure is very feasible, and I would say its one of the most inexpensive college in India.

Scholarship are being offered to those whose parent's annual income are low.

Campus life is good, gender ratio is good as well. Students self-organise workshops. Cultural Socities and Sports Clubs aren't much active here.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities and mess food is average mess food depends upon how good mess Secretary can manage, Hostel has few water problems. There is no Internet Connectivity currently in any Hostel.

Exam Structure

Exam Structure is good, one gets a leave after every end semester exams.

The College has average quality in faculty. Senior Faculties are few in numbers, while most of them are guest faculty.

Placement Experience:

After 6 th semester you are eligible for campus placement. Many companies are comes likes Accenture, Cognizant, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Cagegimini etc and they offer decent package. Highest package 3000000 and average package 400000 and profile offered as for company required. 80 percentage student get placement. Take a placement in good MNC company.

Actually I didn't research on the placement. But in college campus I saw many boards of placed students and the average package is around 4-4.5lakh per annum.and college data says about 90%of students are placed. I am preparing for both off-campus and on campus placement.

Our college offer good placement it has average placement of 11 Lpa. Highest package of 52 lpa in Google. There are many company like TCS, L&T, GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, IBM and many more visited our college. If you have CGPA greater than 7 then you are eligible for maximum placement drive. I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.

All About the HBTU throught the lens of a first year student.

The other colleges which i applied to were IET Lucknow , IIIT Una , IIIT Dharwad and other lower IIITs . I choose over those since this colleges reputation and placements spoke for itself they had a very good track record regarding this course and many famous companies have been coming here repeatedly. The admission in this college is through HBTU e-counselling site which is a standalone website managed by HBTU itself . It has a registration fees of 2500 rupees is non refundable . There you fill your choice of courses . The branch is alloted according to your JEE MAINS rank and your preference list . After the seat allotment letter you have to visit college and there you will have to submit your documents then you will be given a provisional admission letter and you are given a choice to upgrade your branch to the courses you have selected in your preference list. The admission in this college for UG is given through only JEE MAINS for engineering and all other branches leaving Biotechonlogy and Biochemical where you can get admission through CUET....Read More

I only applied on josaa counselling and then in HBTU. My rank was not good enough to get a confirm seat in any core branch . Then I opted for HBTU counselling which was providing better seat in that rank if compared .Then onwards I didn't apply in any of the college. To get admission in HBTU Kanpur, you can register in the college counselling and fill the desired seats.
