Remarks
good - low fees, good ROI, Brand name bad- no permanent campus, average inhouse faculty Admission Process- On the basis of CAT, the date of college start is July and the end date is February. Why I preferred this college- Being an IIM it has comparatively low fees, good average placements, nice location, good culture.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose marketing as majors and analytics as minor. In the first year of my college, I gain an interest in marketing and I was good at maths. And also faculty of marketing is good in IIM Amritsar. The same was the case with Analytics.
Internships Opportunities
As per the college placement policy, we are not allowed to say much about companies' roles offered and package offered, but the average package is around 12lpa and good company visits every year. Some of the companies are ICICI Lombard, Cipla, Adobe, Gartner etc
Placement Experience
There will be two placement processes in IIM Amritsar. First is summers which will start occurring as soon as first-year join college. After the summer internship after completing one-year final placement starts which will be continued till everyone gets placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
In my year the fees were 1050000 for the 2-year course and 125000 mess fees. Fess was on the lower side if we compare it with other IIMs, this was also one of the main reasons for my choosing this college. Fees are hiked for juniors.
Campus Life
Aarunya is the annual fest of IIM Amritsar, its consist of all major business competition which usually happens in all business schools followed by cultural events. There are all major clubs in IIM Amritsar. The library is small because of the temporary campus.
Hostel Facilities
As a temporary campus, the hostel is almost 13kms far from college. The hostels provided are fine institute has taken on rent one whole society which consists of flat type structure. The mess facility is good.
Interview Experience
There was no GD round for me. After getting shortlisted for interview by CAT scores i just faced only interview and got the college. Majorly the criteria for the interview round is CAT scores and you can get a call above 95 percentile.
