Remarks
The biggest drawback of this university is its management. It is absolutely worse. Nothing is managed well by them be it fee deposition process or any problem solving process or anything else. I would really suggest them to improve it because studies also
Entrance Preview
I gave NATA exam and scored 107 marks. I opted for this college because it had good reviews that time for architecture course. And also because it had safe, clean and in-campus hostel for girls which was also a priority.I didn't give any interview since I had a scholarship for this college. So direct admission.
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum was good but it lacked practical activities. Lot of theoretical and very less of doing the work practically at site or even no laboratories were made for studies to practice in.
Internships Opportunities
College internship was a real practical experience we got after 4.5 years of our time in the college which I guess is the case with most of the colleges. Yes, the stipend was offered by the company.
Placement Experience
There was no college placement held in our college for our department. While joining we were told that there will be college placements but they didn't even take the initiative to call even a single company for recruitment.
College Events
Amity is known for social and cultural events. And its a grand affair and held excellently. We had lots of fests of different departments where singers, celebrities and companies were called to participate in. Apart from that every festival was celebrated nicely by the hostel department.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is very expensive as compared to what they offer. In our department we didn't have proper labs, thesis classes were not enough. I guess all the money went into their infrastructure. And every year they increased the fees without no apparent reason because enough facilities were not provided.
Fees and Financial Aid
I got 50% scholarship on admission. The students used to get 100% and 50% upon scoring highest marks.
Campus Life
There were students from every walk of life so it was a great atmosphere to meet with different people of different caste, gender, religion, status and make friends. There were lot of social events and hostel parties held. Apart from that there was a sport event held every year where every department used to participate and various sports were played.
Hostel Facilities
New Hostel rooms were good. We had single rooms. and the fee structure was also affordable around Rs 5000/ month. Old hostels were not at all good and were in a bad shape. They needed to be renovated and repaired. Food facility was good and hygienic. Apar
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors were very helpful and we had a great time during ice breaking ceremony. We learnt a lot from them and they used to guide us with great enthusiasm. There was not any alumni interaction as such because reunion parties were not held there.
Exam Structure
The exam structure was good and relaxed one. The students are given regular assignments, the marks of which were counted in the end bu exams were held yearly basis which was good for us.
Faculty
The faculty was good in first year but after that only 2-3 teachers were good. Apart from that, not even a single teacher was good. Mostly freshers were appointed as students so they didn't have any idea what to teach and how to teach. Which was a major d
