Great B School but not for everyone

So let's start with the good aspects first 1. The most important thing study factor is quite good here like students from any other stream can cope with management studies and its curriculum includes lots of subjects 2. Student to teacher ratio is great to compare to other colleges. 3. Classrooms are big with all the facilities. 4. They have adopted professionalism and they impart it to students as well 5. They arrange many guest lectures and provide a great practical learning experience. What I don't like is : 1. Compulsion of studying a foreign language that is french as faculty for that is not that good 2.Campus is very small 3.Repetition of topics over 2-3 semesters Admission procedure : So firstly I applied through their website than they called me for a written exam and personal interview and within a week I got admitted not a very lengthy process but it took 10-15 days Amity University is well reputed in private sectors so I preferred it I referred Quora, collegeduina, siksha

As I had completed my 12th in commerce stream and I wanted to do business studies so I opted for BBA. So the faculty-student ratio is quite good as in our class there were about 35-40 students and compare to other colleges it was great where there are 100+ students in a class So every faculty here is highly qualified and the majority of them are PhD and some of them are pursuing PhD so teachers are well qualified and they are good enough to deliver the knowledge they have with practical examples and case studies. But sometimes the topics are repeated over 1-2 semesters so teachers are bound to the syllabus provided from Amity University Noida so sometimes even they want to give some extra knowledge they are bounded by either time or curriculum. There were two exams in a semester first a mid-term and then final terms Midterms are quite easy to crack but final terms are difficult because the papers are made for every AGBS branch and you might encounter some questions which were not there.

As I am in Sem 4 so I don't know much about the current situation of placements due to COVID-19 but last to last year some companies like Asian Paints, money roller Flipkart, Amazon, Yes Bank were there for campus placement and Internships. I don't have much information about roles and future opportunities as I was in sem 2 when this event took place.

So from semester, 6 students become eligible for placement for BBA students the offers are less but yes companies do visit for campus placements So previous year the companies which had come were Asian Paints, Flipkart, Amazon, Yes Bank and a few more Almost every company recruited 5-6 students from every batch of BBA and MBA. So the average package was around 4 lakhs per annum and the highest was 8 lakhs per annum. My plans are for getting a campus placement in some bank.

The fees which were in the brochure was unchanged but they charge 1000 rs. for back paper which I don't like so, it may increase your overall cost of studies if you are not good at studies the overall cost of studies considering all this is somewhere around 4lakhs for the course. There is a scholarship but there is a referral system so for every referral you can get a discount of 10000rs, as of now I am in the second year so I don't know much about Jobs but I have heard that in the previous year many students got Job in the banking sector and Flipkart and Amazon

At Amity every year Sangathan and Ekagrata are organized so Sangathan is an annual sport and cultural event that unites all the Amity campuses at Amity University Noida and Ekagrata is a competition held by individual Amity campuses and it includes various competitions and involves the other universities and colleges across Ahmedabad. There is a library which is quite good and there are so many books available for every student and it's free to use without any time limit. So there are several events which are held throughout the year like Cricket football chess carrom mobile games also every month they arrange guest lectures from various sectors which are great and insightful There are several clubs like Marketing, Finance, and HR so they arrange various activities and guest lectures

There were writing test and two round of interview In writing test we were given around 15 topics and we had to write an essay on any one of them and after that, there was two round interview with the assistant dean and Dean so they asked various questions regarding studies and my future goals and basically, in the first round, they were just noticing how confident I am for this and in the second round with Dean they asked me to solve a case and then few questions regarding that and a business idea and on that basis, they evaluated my profile. There was no preparation from my side because I was very new to this and didn't know what to do how to prepare so I just used my knowledge at that time.
