Remarks

Admission was done by ACPC procedure, and one can also fill management quota form for 400rs only. I choose this college because I wanted to learn something unique and still valuable. I found out this unique course here, "Food processing technology engineering" which is taught in only two collages in the whole Gujarat. So it's in demand. Other thing is they are under GTU (Gujarat technical university). If we're qualified throw GTU, It would be beneficial and our plus point, because GTU is government's. The students and faculties and all here are gentlemen. Labs and equipments here are so costly and well maintained. Some equipments are only available in this college, no other college will have this. This college is so clean and well maintained. Most of faculties have done PhD in their field. Other activities here will also make you a better person. I'm in 2nd year now, They have told us that placement rate is high and last year it was 100% in our food processing technology field.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Most of the faculties here have done PhD in their courses. So they are well educated. So many engineering options are available here. The most unique engineering course is "food processing technology engineering" here. And it is only taught in 2 colleges in the whole Gujarat. Students are choosen on a merit basis (70% marks of 12th board and 30% marks of gujcet) so they all are Toppers. Teaching is done through green board and projector PPTs. Now due to Corona, it is done online in Microsoft teams. One can use labs and do their experiments 24X7 (only with permission of faculties). The courses are so interesting. The exam is conducted by GTU (Gujrat technical university). It's a little difficult to pass. If you do previous years' papers, you'll definitely pass the externals. 3 exams in each of the 8 sems 2 internals and 1 external. Marks for internals are conducted best of two. So you can skip 2nd internal if you think you have done enough score in 1st internal in the respective subject.

Placement Experience

3.5

4th-year students will be eligible for campus placement. They say the placement rate of this college is high. Last year it was 100% for food processing technology engineering. This college is under GTU (Gujrat technical university) so its government's so placement is high. Few students decide to go for higher studies means masters of engineering (ME). My plans are to go for higher studies of 1 year in Canada And I'll get a job after that in Canada. According to Google, my Starting salary will be around 28,54,055.10 Indian Rupee per year. And I can earn up to 91,89,325.61 Indian Rupee. Because I'm studying food processing technology engineering, it's in demand is India and foreign countries.

Fees and Financial Aid

106000/- INR per year. So total 424000/- INR for 4 years. One can give fees before every semester start. It is 54000/- INR. But one must have to pay semester fees before the semester starts. So many scholarships are available here. For example, AICTE's Pragati & saksham scholarship, scholarships for ST students, scholarship for SC students, scholarship for OBC, Scholarship for NRI students, most of the scholarship's criteria is that your family income per year must not be more than 150000/- INR or score in 12th grade must be 80 or more than 80 Pr (Percentile rank). One can also take student loans for their studies. Scholarship named MYSY will provide 50% fees (53000/- INR) per year. About jobs and Placement, they say the placement rate of this college is high, and last year in food processing technology engineering, it was 100%. And some students also go for higher studies (ME - master of engineering).

Campus Life

5

The campus is great. The college is clean and well maintained. All the plants and trees are well maintained. The campus area is so big. About activities, there are four Houses (groups) here. Mahatma Gandhi House, Nehru House, Netaji house, Bhagat Singh house. Whichever house participates in a maximum number of activities and performs great will earn the trophy at the end of the year. One has to participate in different activities and complete at least 100 points in these 4 years. Students also do social activities threw NSS groups. Big fest done here is a spectrum. Which is a mega fest. So many guest and expert lectures are held here. Students will have introduction programs for a few days in their first years. 1st-year students will get a Freshers party by 2nd-year students and 4th-year students will get a farewell party by 3rd-year students.

Interview Experience

4

Admission was on a merit basis which consists of 70% of 12th HSC from science with maths and 30% of GUJCET entrance exam. One can also get admission threw JEE exam. Gujcet exam was MCQ (multiple choice questions) based. Topic subjects are Maths, chemistry, and physics. Gujcet is much easier than JEE. But little difficult and twisted than board exams. Admission is done by ACPC procedure by GTU (Gujrat technical university) by the government of Gujarat. If you have doubts that you will get selected by merit or not, you can fill management quota form for that. Which's fees are only 400/- INR. But you'll definitely get admission here. D2D students (diploma students) join from the 2nd year directly.

Other Applied Colleges

Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya (BVM), Vallabh vidhyanagar, Anand, Gujarat | Civil engineering

Because my 1st preference was A D Patel Institute of Technology for food processing technology engineering course. And I got admission their.

Placements are good. Students are eligilble for campus placements from 7th semester. The highest package is 2100000 and the lowest is 200000. The median package is 3.5 to 4.5 lakhs per year. From last two years there was 100% placements but usually its 90%. I plan to pursue pg after this degree in either mtech or mba.
