covid and lbsim

The bad aspect of college is that it is located in a very small area and do not have ground for sports but do have a basketball court, 2 table tennis tables. lbsim has their admission process in the month of Feb and March. it is mostly offline on the campus. The cafeteria on campus has good food and even the hostel food is tasty. I selected this college over others because this was near my house. lbsim has its own website www.lbsim.ac.in

The curriculum of lbsim is updated every year as they are always in contact with the corporates and industry experts. teachers here are all phd holders. Even visiting faculties are the experts.Teaching methods change every year as per the curriculum. The faculty ratio here would be 1:8. exams here are of moderate difficulty. midterms are mostly objective and end terms are subjective. midterms are held after 1.5 months from the start of the trimester and end terms are mostly one month after mid-terms. it is not very difficult to pass but yes scoring high is difficult. they follow their academic calendar properly.

The internship status of lbsim is okay. more of marketing profiles approach and not finance. finance internships are very less and the few top companies prefer btech students for it. few of analytics companies also came on board. avg stipend will be approx 6000 to 7000.

Almost all students get placed in lbsim but the avg package would be approx Rs 7 lakhs to 9 lakhs. various top companies and startups come for placements like Deloitte, EY, ICICI. profiles are offered to students of every domain like finance, marketing, operations, etc. placements are not too good but okay

fees of lbsim are 12lakhs. they charge 30000 extra management fees and 7000 alumni fees. these do not include hostel fees which are approx 150000. cost to study is very high. ROI will be average. they do give scholarships of Rs 50000 to 12 students on the basis of their parent's income and merits. they increase their fees every year with a particular margin. you can take financial assistance by applying to live projects and internships.

life at lbsim is very hectic. there is no coordination among teachers and clubs. there are approx 17 clubs including academic and non-academic clubs. teachers dont care about the club activities and clubs do not care about courses and assignments. the main purpose of the club peer to peer learning but here at lbsim the club coordinators are more interested to prove their club better.

Admission mostly happens in the month of march and feb. it includes WAT, GD PI. the topic of wat and gd is mostly same and is based on the current and trending news. GD is taken by faculty members in panels. lbsim accept admission on the basis of CAT and GMAT. for general and finance the cutoff is high and around 83+ but for research and business analytics it would be 70+. i prepared for these rounds by watching youtube videos, various instagram pages and reading newspapers.
