IIM Nagpur is one of the fastest growing IIMs with the strategic advantage of being located in the centre of India. The Admission process usually starts around March. Candidates clearing the minimum cutoffs get a mail with instructions to the application which consists of various details along with SOP and recommendation. IIM Nagpur gives a good amount of weightage to the candidate's work experience. Based on initial screening and your composite score candidates get calls for the further process consisting of GD/WAT-PI. Offers are then rolled out based on a final composite score. The 2020 admissions team at IIM Nagpur was excellent at managing the entire process. The major reason for choosing IIM Nagpur over other B schools was placements, the ROI and the "IIM tag".

IIM Nagpur has a good faculty-student ratio. There are teaching assistants who also help you in your academics along with the faculty. The faculties are well qualified as most of them are top B-school graduates and are very much open to feedback from students. The courses are very well designed along with timely evaluations in all components like class participation, quizzes, group projects, presentations along with mid-term and end-term examinations. The difficulty varies according to the courses, but most of the students pass without any issue. However, the institute is very strict when it comes to discipline.

All students have to go through 2 months of an internship between the 3rd and 4th term. Many firms including established firms as well as start-ups recruit students from IIM Nagpur for summer placements from the campus. These firms offer a various role in sales, marketing, finance, consulting etc.

The placement process for summer internships begins in the first term itself. Candidates start building and improving their CVs and profile along with the curriculum. The college provides training on various domains by industry experts which help students choose their path. IIM Nagpur has successfully achieved 100% placements for both internships and final placements. The average package (Final Placement) for the 2019-2021 batch was 13.21 LPA with 41 new companies recruiting. Many top firms from various sectors such as Bain & Co., Deloitte, L&T Infotech, HCL Technologies, TVS motors etc. visited recruited from the campus.

Considering the fees of 13.75L for the entire course, the ROI is pretty good. The other costs majorly include the cost of buying a laptop, mess charges and other living expenses. It is very easy to get an education loan at a low interest rate as many of the banks offer them. There are ample opportunities for the scholarship based on various factors like merit, income, category which help the students cover their expenses.

IIM Nagpur is currently operating from the VNIT campus while it plans to move to its permanent campus in MIHAN very soon. There are ample clubs (academic and non academic) to cater to all interests of students and they are increasing every year. Even during the pandemic, a lot of events and fests took place online.

During the 2020 admissions process, WAT/GD was cancelled and the PIs were conducted online because of the pandemic. The interview mostly revolved around my strengths, weaknesses and general knowledge, perceptions about things. I was able to drive the interview and I was able to use my strengths in my favour. General Knowledge about economics, budget, government policies came, general information related to my work experience and field of interest was pretty useful to me during the PI.
