IIM Nagpur Review

IIM Nagpur is one of the third generation IIM which after its inception has done tremendously great and achieve a new heights in various fields. Its location is one of biggest advantage. It is mentored by IIM Ahmedabad initially but now it has its own faculty. Placements are good and peer learning from peers with great experience are some of the reasons for choosing the college. Quora, pagalguy etc. are some of the sites that helped in selecting the college.

In this dynamic changing industry, we can't settle for a graduation degree. Also while working in the industry I found that having proper management skills is the necessity of the hour so I decided to pursue an MBA. We have 4 sections here in the First year of college with a batch strength of 210 students. Our faculty is highly qualified and have exposure of working in various industry and teaching at top MBA college. IIM Nagpur is always known for its sacrosanct timelines and our exam do happen at the proper mentioned time and if e follow our course curriculum and class session properly we can have enough knowledge to pass the exam.

We have achieved 100 percentage placements in Internship and highest stand at 2.4 lakh. Companies like Microsoft, Dalmia Bharat, BNY Mellon, HPCL etc. came to recruit our students. Various roles have been provided in the sector such as Ed Tech, FMCG, Manufacturing,IT,etc

For batch 2019-20 there was 100% placement, Companies like Deloitte, HPCL , BNY Mellon,Accenture,Baja Steel, L&T Infotech etc. came to recruit our bright students. Our median stipend stands at around 13 lakh per year and inspite of covid challenge in the industry we were the 4th among all IIM to complete the final placements.

13.75 lakh is the college fees. All the scholarships, financial assistance information, etc. are available on the website. As government schemes keep on changing so according to information are updated on the IIM Nagpur website.

An annual fest like ZMF, TedX, ILLUME, etc. occurs yearly and gets great participation. We got access to the digital library and various newspapers and journals in the Covid-19 scenario and books were delivered at our address. Sports events do occur on regular basis. All the clubs whether be it Finance, Marketing, Strategy, Cultural etc. are run by student bodies.

Hostel life is good. Room are single-seater with facilities like almirah, table, chair etc. are present. Rooms are cleaned daily. 4-5 students share a common washing machine and washroom. Presently students are staying at VNIT Campus as the new campus is a constructive phase. Wi-Fi facility is available for free. Food is good and the meal is offered 4 times a day. Both nonveg and veg food is present. Mess committee looks after students' issues regarding food. Overall the experience at the hostel is awesome.

Due to the COVID group, the discussion process was scrapped and the interview process was conducted online. Shortlisted students are sent a mail to apply to college by filling the application form and later on based on CS score students are called for an interview. To prepare for the interview students should focus on their graduation subject, work ex related questions and proper knowledge of current issues going on. Proper preparation is required to clear all rounds as the Interviewer is going to test your knowledge and you can't just flunk there.
