Remarks
I chose this college for the location and the specialization it offered, it gave me a direct opportunity to work on Finance as a subject. The admission process was pretty smooth, the college used different methods to test a candidate such as Extempore, Business Quiz, and WAT, all of which tested a candidate`s knowledge. This gave me an insight as to what the college sees in a student and not just the percentile. Another reason for preferring this college is because of its location, its located in Delhi and near to many places that a student would love to hang out in. I constantly looked for the reviews on collegedunia.com while arriving at a decision.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum for the course is pretty challenging, but then again M.B.A student has to go through these challenges, the course offers various in depth knowledge of the financial world. The faculty in the college is very experienced in the industry and are thorough in their subject. the course is very well designed for finance enthusiasts and the faculty is just on point with the discussion pertaining in the class. The term is comprised of two exams- mid-term and end term, both made to evaluate the students understanding of the subject. The faculty guided us to right to the point answers so as they have a clear idea of the understanding,
Internships Opportunities
The college gives the students opportunities on campus, the process of which starts very early as companies visit throughout the first year, The roles mainly include that of Trainee and varies as per the domains. The average stipend ranges from 15-20k. Companies also visit the campus for live projects that the students can take up.
Placement Experience
The placement committee works very hard to get the companies on board and is very particular about the rules and regulations regarding the same. Despite the COVID-19, the campus managed to get various companies on board. The placement process officially starts in January but the companies start coming at the commence of 2nd year and students are eligible to sit for the process thence. The highest package stood at 18 Lac INR as of today. A total of 126 companies visited campus. I am planning to sit for the process and get a job as per my personality after the completion of my course.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is quite decent with good ROI. The college also offers a sends out emails to let students know about the scholarship opportunity available, with merit basis scholarships to top 2 students of each of the courses the management is quite receptive and open to students' doubts, which all in all helps students a long way. The college has a tie-up with various banks, especially the Bank of Baroda. Most of the batch get an internship and the average stipend is around 15-20k thanks to the placement committee.
Campus Life
The flagship event for the college is Genesis, the annual fest which was conducted in February this year. The campus life has not yet been lived by us during these times but I have had a word with seniors and the college has a stupendous library that offers and has all books and journals required for the students. The college has various SIGs- The special interest groups as per the different domains which are run by students. The junior team in these committees after a hectic selection process. The infrastructure, on the other hand, is one thing where college lags. The college has a very small campus as compared to other b-schools.
Interview Experience
The admission process in the college is very thorough, it challenges candidates on every aspect. The first process is the Business Quiz followed by WAT(Written Ability Test). Before the personal interview, Extempore happens where the panelists ask the student to speak on a topic chosen at random. Interview questions were very basic and panelists were very calm in understanding every aspect. Preparation for the process is minimal, only one thing that the candidate has to keep in mind is the business quiz and therefore has to be aware of the happenings around the business.
