Remarks
The college is located in the mids of greenery in the hearts of Delhi, which is what inclined me to attend the college, the admission process offered various challenges and happened around February last year. I preferred this college because of its a specialised course in Finance.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is designed very accurately for a finance student to gain maximum insight into the financial markets and institutions and how they go about the work. The college offers dual specialisation, i.e., you can specialise in 2 courses at one go. They give us an option to choose the courses after the end of the 2nd term as per the TGPA. Every term has two exams- Mid Term and End Term.
Internships Opportunities
The college offers internship opportunities on campus to the students. Many MNC has visited the college and hired the students. The average stipend is around 20-25k. There are companies who visit to undertake students for the Live Projects, the duration for which ranges from 15 days to 3 months as per companies requirement.
Placement Experience
The college offers placement to the students and expects students to be at their utmost behaviour when interacting with corporates. The companies turn up in huge numbers with the highest package going to 18 Lacs INR this year and the average going around 10.6 Lacs INR even in these times. The companies start coming at the start of 2nd year, the official placement weeks start from December and carries on till March.
Fees and Financial Aid
FSM provides scholarship on a merit basis to toppers of each of the courses and also to J&K candidates eligible. The college has a tie-up with various banks so students can get financial assistance as per their requirement.
Campus Life
The college's annual fest is the Genesis, which happened around February this year. It is 2 days filled with absolute fun and enjoyment as we're reliever from classes and assignments. The college has societies for every domain and every work. A rigorous selection process is scheduled in September to get into these committees/SIGs.
Interview Experience
The admission process was quite interesting, it was divided into various stages namely Business Quiz, WAT, Extempore and finally PI. The WAT topics were very generic and mostly related to general business affairs only so staying up to date with business happenings is all you needed to do for preparation for the process.
