The brand name of IIM has a different weightage to itself on its own. Based on the options I had, this college was the best convert I got. Besides this, I looked at the past records of the institute like the final placement statistics and the features offered in the institute like the Field Immersion Program. But most weightage was given to the brand value and the statistics of placements.

As expected, the course curriculum is very similar to other MBA programs with the hectic schedule of classes, assignments, group activities. Faculty members have extensive industrial and teaching experience from teaching at the most prominent institutes in the country. The class size averages at 50 per section and it is an adequate size for the activities to continue. The classroom activities include intense discussions, group breakout activities, presentations and sometimes, exciting simulations. Class sessions are based on case-based teaching and exams have relative marking so not much difficult.

The placement committee provides various opportunities to the students for internships and live projects. Different industrial roles are offered to the students and interviews & other selection processes are conducted for the same. The summer placements season starts from September in full swing and the institute has a record of having 100% Summer placements as well.

The institute offers 100% placements. It is a student-driven process with the average statistics for final placements in the current batch of 13.13 lakhs per annum. The placement is a transparent process with the final report being audited and uploaded on the institute website.

The total fees of the PGDM program are 13,75,000 which includes everything from hostel fees to library fees. Special need-based scholarships and other government scholarships are available to the candidates from the bank of their own choice.

Since when I got admitted into the institute, the pandemic happened. So we have been continuing online classes for the past year. Considering the campus, IIM Nagpur has built a new campus at MIHAN, Nagpur which includes world-class infrastructure and amenities. The Clubs and Committees are wholly student-driven bodies and it is an honour to be in any one of these responsible positions.

The hostel fees are included in the fees. The rooms are of single shared basis with all furniture provided. Facilities like washing machines are also provided. The Mess Committee is a student-driven body, so if we have any concerns we can take them directly to our batchmates and they respond to the concern immediately. Apart from this, the Mess Committee and Cultural Committee collaborate on special occasions and festivals for our delight.

There was no GD round, but PI is mandatory. The topics of the interview ranged from my experiences at the previous job to the current affairs in the country and my views on them. I had an intensive discussion on the Union Budget 2020-21 and CAA with my panel. The objective behind this might be to know the opinions and the thinking process of the candidates.
