My experience at FORE

FORE accepts the score of CAT, XAT and GMAT. The cutoffs for different management programs differ. The registration begins from October onwards. The courses offered include PGDM, PGDM-FM, PGDM-IB and PGDM-IB. It also offers fellowship and executive programs. Pros-Faculty, pedagogy and decent placements.Cons-Small campus and no hostel facility.

The course has a total of 6 terms. The institute offers an international immersion program wherein students are offered the opportunity to study in a foreign college and have corporate visits. The student-faculty ratio is decent. The faculty is highly qualified and 92% of them hold a doctoral degree. Most of the faculty are alumni of IITs and IIMs.

The summer internship which ranges from the time period of 8-10 weeks is a mandatory requirement for fulfilling the course curriculum of the course opted. The entire batch gets an internship with the majority of them to be paid.

Campus placement is decent. As far as I know and the interactions I had with my senior, the college offers 100% placement. The key recruiters include Asian paints, Nestle, GEP, Capgemini, KPMG, Accenture, ICICI Bank, HSBC Bank, Decathlon, Signify, Dell, HCL etc.

Fees for PGDM-IB is 15.98 lacs. The fees for different courses offered at FORE are revised from time to time. The loan sanctions for the college fees and additional expenditure not totalling up to rs 20 lacs can easily be granted from a range of colleges. The institute also offers scholarships for meritorious students and a concession of 10% to students domiciled from the 8 northeastern states. The stipend offered has been decent throughout the years.

The campus is always lively with active classroom sessions, seminars, business presentations, competitions and quizzes. The campus, however small in area, has state of art infrastructure, wi-fi enabled, cameras all around with 100% security and a very active grievance redressal group and anti ragging squad. Genesis is the most happening annual event held at FORE with star nights, live music and performances and DJ.

The selection process included the parameters of work-ex, past academic records, entrance exam score, PI, extempore and business awareness quiz. The interview had questions related to general awareness, business awareness, hobbies and opinions of several local issues.
