So, as for my percentile and selection process, I had a few options among FORE, Tapmi, KJ Somaiya. All these colleges fall into the same category but FORE has better opportunities for students who want to specialize in marketing. I chose FORE because of two reasons, firstly I wanted to specialize in marketing, secondly though it does not have a huge campus but is located in the middle of the city and thus, you have more flexibility to roam around, go to cafes and do all the city stuff. If I talk about the opportunities, there are a lot of live projects other than summer internships that you can apply to and add value and skill. Then, there are many corporate competitions that you can be a part of and get a chance to win big prizes. Also, you will get a chance to enrol in some outside courses and programmes.

FORE offers a dual specialization programme for PGDM and I took marketing and Finance as my specialization. I chose marketing because you get ample opportunities for that field and finance because I had an interest in the stock market. The faculties of both marketing and finance are qualified and well experienced. Faculties use case studies and examples to make the concepts clear. As for the final marks, you will be evaluated on different factors, such as class participation, assignments, reports, quiz and written exams.

Prominent recruiters like GEP, HSBC, Asian Paints, Nestle, ITC etc. offer internship opportunities to the students in roles such as sales and marketing, human resource, digital marketing, investment banking etc. The stipend is given to the selected students. The highest stipend offered was around 99000.

FORE provides a lot of placement opportunities to the students. The first year student gets ample opportunities to sit in summer internship placements offering various roles such as sales and marketing, consulting, investment banking, analyst, Human Resource etc. A stipend is also provided by the companies that hire students for summer placements. Placements will start right after the commencement of the classes and go on for the whole year. As for the final placement, the average package is 10.6 LPA and median is 10.1 LPA.

The fees are around 15 lakh for the 2 years course. The International Immersion Programme is also included in the fee, where students go abroad to get international exposure. FORE does not have a hostel of its own, therefore most students from outside either rent out PG's or Flats. There are scholarship opportunities for students whose family income is less than 6 lakhs per annum, but there is a process and you need to maintain a good CGPA overall.

Life at FORE can be pretty amazing. You get ample opportunities to join various committees, varying from marketing, finance, public relations, entrepreneurship etc. The committees and clubs organise different activities such as seminars and competitions throughout the year. Genesis, the annual fest of FORE is held every year, in which you get to take part in various competitions and cultural activities. The evenings are fun with great performances by comedians, singers, bands and DJ's. The books for the curriculum are provided by the library. The library is great for all your projects and research work.

The CAT cut off for FORE is around 85 percentile. The admission process includes a business quiz, followed by an extempore and finally a Personal Interview. There is no group Discussion in the admission process. My interview was mostly based on bachelor's, internship, business news and current affairs. To crack the interview of FORE be updated with business news and current affairs. You must be clear about your profile and be prepared to answer questions on work experience and certifications(if any).
