Reviews provided by a few of my schoolmates and seniors from my undergrad college, who graduated from FORE helped me in choosing FORE over TAPMI, KJSOMS, Great lakes Chennai. Some good aspect of college is its location, festivals, committees, placements, foreign exchange program, faculty. Cons being lack of hostel facility, increasing batch size every year. The admission process was quite smooth and assisted by 2nd-year students. I used Pagalguy and Collegedunia to know about the college and its admission process.
Course Curriculum Overview
Most of the faculty at FORE has a PhD from reputed institutions and universities across India. I choose the PGDM (Core) course to learn about various functional discipline such as Marketing, Finance, Operations. The teaching method involves Case Studies, seminars, presentations, group & individual projects. The course curriculum is as per the guidelines of AICTE. Exams are conducted on time and can be passed with a little effort.
Internships Opportunities
Companies like Gartner, ITC, JLL, NewGen Software, BR Specialties LLP, Capgemini, Boston Scientific, SafeXpress visit campus for summer internship offering various roles for sales & marketing, operations, HR, analytics.
Placement Experience
The highest salary stood at 30L and the average salary stood at 10.6 L for the batch of 2018-20 with placement offer made to 353 students across various discipline such as strategy, sales and marketing, supply chain and logistics, investment banking. A total of 126 recruiters participated in the placement process including companies such as ITC, HSBC, HUL, Tata Motors, Nestle, Bacardi, HDFC.
Fees and Financial Aid
The overall fees of the college for two (02) years program stands at Rs. 15.98 L. The college provides financial aid in the form of 'Means cum Merit Scholarship' for one academic year and includes a waiver of the full tuition fee. The scholarship is provided to students whose family income is below 8 L per year.
Campus Life
Genesis is the annual cultural and management fest of FORE School of Management organized in the month of February. FORE social and cultural division organizes various sports and cultural events throughout the year. The college has more than 20 committees for extracurricular activities. The library has a collection of over 43000 volumes comprising of books, journals, reports, etc and a subscription of over 108 print journals, magazines, periodicals.
Interview Experience
The candidate is selected based on the CAT/XAT/GMAT score followed by the Written ability test, Business awareness quiz, extempore and PI. I read the interview experience of past students. The Written ability test, business awareness quiz, and extempore are on topics related to current affairs.
