IIM-Nagpur Review

I had my criteria for selecting a college. My selection criteria were: 1) Connectivity of the college as this places a major in attracting recruiters and improving the college brand. 2) The Faculty of the college and their research area. I looked into the profiles of the faculty and their research areas I observed that some of them are working on my interested areas so it's an advantage for me to select this college. 3) Placements, at the end of the day when you are coming out of college you should come out with good pay and IIM Nagpur is having a decent average package so I went for it.

The faculty are really good and their research areas are the latest happenings and advancements in the market. IIM-N follows a case-based teaching methodology that helps the student understand the real-life industry problem and solve them. The student-to-teacher ratio is 1:10, however, we have many prominent visiting faculty visiting from top B-Schools.

The college achieved 100% placements in Internships with the highest package of 2.5 lakhs. The college provides ample opportunities to its students to apply the learned knowledge in the industry and get industry exposure.

Placements are really great at IIM-N. The placement committee is a student-driven body under the CDS office. The companies are highly attracted by the talent pool of the college. IIM-N provides 100% placement to its students. This year, in these tough situations. IIM-N is the 4th IIM to complete its placements with an average package of 13.21 lakhs. The credit goes to the hard-working students, faculty, and the CDS office.

The complete course fee for IIM-N is 1375000 including hostel charges. College provides need-based scholarships for people who are from poor backgrounds. College also provides opportunities to apply for various other colleges. Education loan for studying in IIM comes under the scholar loan category. For these kinds of loans, no security is required and the bank processes loan in 3 working days.

Because of COVID, we dint got an opportunity to enjoy college life waiting to go to college and get the experience. Clubs and committees work with utmost dedication and contribution to the growth of the college. The clubs interact with industry leaders and bring them to the college which connects students with the latest happenings in the industry.

Due to covid PI happened in the online medium. I was thorough prepared with the latest happenings, with my work experience and with my subjects of U.G. I also enrolled for mock interviews in TIME institute and they guided me to go in the right direction. The mock interviews help me a lot to correct my answers and gave me much confidence. On the d-day, I went with much confidence and cracked the interview.
