CET, COMEDK, I came through COMEDK because I was aiming for this particular college and I didn't get it in CET so I choose this college through COMEDK.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is mainly designed by the VTU to which the college is affiliated to. The courses mainly focus upon various research areas such as AI, Neural networks, Data structures. Through electives, we were thought about Operation research, Computer architecture, cloud computing, Java, c# as electives.
Internships Opportunities
No, currently our college does not provide the opportunity of internship but they do encourage us to take up an internship at other places during our vacations.
Placement Experience
Currently, the placement has been very good as many students who are eligible are getting placed at various top industries. Some of the companies that are visiting our company include SAP labs, ECI telecom, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, L&T, Tech Mahindra, Yodlee, NTTDATA. 90% of the companies will be on campus interviews only 10% of them are off campus.
College Events
There will be 2 fests that will be held in an academic year. In the odd sem, department fest will be held and in the even sem, the college fest will be held which is one of the biggest fest held in Bangalore. Other formal functions such as celebrating Ganesha Chaturthi, freshers day will also be conducted.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure will be fixed by the state government. If it is through CET then it is 60000 for COMEDK it is 130000. An extra college fee is fixed by the college itself and it is normally a minimum amount. It is about 20000 for an year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college provides a scholarship to the students who has a dire necessity. It also provides scholarship to various students who have scored above 75% in their 12th and also to people who are in the below income range.
Alumni/Alumna
A couple of alumni meets have been conducted at the department level as well as at the institute level. These Alumni meets act as a bridge between the students,management, staff, and alumni of GAT for mutual benefit and bring in synergy into the system.
Exam Structure
The exams will be conducted every 6 months once and the lab internals, as well as externals, will be conducted at least 20 days before the final examination. There will be 3 internals which will be held in the first three months of the semester, the average of the best two marks will be taken and added to the marks given in the externals.
Faculty
Faculties are genuinely interested in making sure that the students learn whatever has been thought. They do make notes to various chapters that have been thought so that it would ease the workload on students.
