Remarks

The final merit list and selection is made on basis of the performance of the candidate in CAT, work experience, GD, PI and past academic record. The pros of college are its ROI. It has got one of the best ROI if compared with other top management colleges, its location-Mumbai and its very strong alumni base. The campus is very serene and green. The cons include its very poor gender diversity, less brand visibility and lack of diverse backgrounds in terms of subject domains as most students here are engineers. I read the college review on collegedunia itself and I am glad of the fact that now I am actually writing the review as an alumnus of the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The exams are held on a trimester basis. The student-faculty ratio is 17:1. The course curriculum includes the following: Institute core-12 subjects, Institute elective- 6 subjects, program core- 8 subjects, program elective -8 subjects, summer internship of 8-10 weeks and a field project. Each subject has a weightage of 3 credits. The faculty here is very erudite and helpful.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The key recruiters in summer placements are Amway, Nestle, HCL, Capgemini, Bira91, Dabur, Dell, Amazon, Mahindra, Axis Bank, McKinsey etc. The average stipend is around Rs.1.6 lakhs .142 recruiters participated in the process.

Placement Experience

5

121 recruiters participated in the process. There were also 19 additional recruiters. The placements occur in the domains of IT, Analytics, BFSI, Consulting, Operations and Supply Chain management. The average placement id Rs. 20.88 Lakhs per annum. The highest placement is Rs. 58.2 Lakhs per annum. The average of the top 10% is Rs. 36.83 Lakhs per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are three scholarships available. All GATE qualifiers are offered a teaching assistantship that gives Rs 12, 430 per month as stipend money. All the students belonging to SC/ST quota are offered a Central Sector scholarship and students can avail of a 30% fee waiver if his/her family income is less than Rs 2.5 lakhs. The fees are 15.62 Lakhs, however, it is subject to change.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus is large and beautiful. It has got many recreational facilities, health care facilities, a library and an auditorium. There is an annual fest called AROHAN which is very enthralling and exciting. The business fest held at NITIE is Avartan. MANDI is a selling and branding event. Students have access to live database, journals, case studies and other informative seminars and webinars.

Interview Experience

5

The group discussion topic of mine was Impact of technology of jobs: Will machines replace humans? The GD round was well structured. I prepared for GD by going through all recent tidings at the national and international level and also preparing specific GD topics from google. The PI round included three panelists. As I had one of my cousins already studying there, I recognized the two of them as they were faculty-one from supply chain management and the other from economics. My PI questions included a few technical questions that I read in my graduation, about my future goals and few data interpretation questions. A tip to all candidates is to prepare really well for the PI and GD round. Stay well read and brush your basics.

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.
