Entrance Preview

I scored 75496 (general category) AIR in AIEEE and this was the best college which I could get at this rank, so I chose it.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The College follows the curriculum provided by the APJAKTU. It is considered as the most exhaustive and updated syllabus. I have met professors from IITs and people within industry and they all agree that AKTU has one of the best syllabus. However, there is a little preference given to research in the curriculum .

Internships Opportunities

There is a provision of summer industrial training in the end of 3rd year. Students can go to various industries to take internships. College will provide a letter of recommendation. I never heard anyone doing a internship where they get stipend.

Placement Experience

2

The placement cell (CCPD) of the college is very active one . They put a lot of efforts to attract big companies to their campus, but unfortunately, they don't seem to succeed enough. TCS, IBM and Mahindra Susten are the few big names which I can remember.

College Events

3.5

Technical - there was once an international conference arranged in our college. It was really nice conference and I remember there was a very nice paper on smart grids presented there a gentleman from Bhutan. Apart from that, there are regular conferences and seminars held which are also nice.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For my batch (2012-2016) academic fee was around 95000 per year which was the average fee if you look at the top most private engineering colleges in APJAKTU. If you look at the C-grade engineering colleges, then you might find the fee on the higher side. But in its own class, I will say the fee is comparable to other institutes.

Fees and Financial Aid

The social welfare department provided to students below poverty line. One of my friends used to get hefty amounts like 80000 as yearly scholarships. Apart from that scholarships are there for the toppers.

Alumni/Alumna

I was not in touch with the alumni network. But the college is running from 2000 . So I think that the college is having a strong alumni network. There are regular alumni meets arranged and you can get to meet alumni there.

Exam Structure

There are sessional exams , one pre university exam and one university exam per subject per semester (if you are lucky enough to avoid those backlogs). Practical exams are also conducted in the laboratories. Don't expect a chilled out environment. Be prepared for a hectic environment. Examination environment is the strictest one that I have seen in my entire life.

Faculty

1.5

This is the point where this college lags a lot. They might have a lot of talented teachers, but the teachers are not given much independence to teach the subject in their style. The teachers are forced to produce good results in university exams. So the teachers force students to cram the subjects instead of make them learn.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.
