Remarks
The admissions occur in 2 cycles. I got to know about this college through collegedunia. It accepts scores of CAT, XAT, CMAT and GMAT. It is recognized as an 'A' graded college on the Vidya Lakshmi portal. I preferred this college to my other converted college due to its brand visibility and placements. The good aspects of the college are its campus and alumni base and cons include its high fees.
Course Curriculum Overview
The student-faculty ratio is 19:1. The exams are held on a trimester basis. The entire two years program is scheduled tight and dynamic. The faculty includes professors from foreign universities. I chose the course to explore other dimensions of marketing and have in-depth pragmatic knowledge.
Internships Opportunities
The average stipend offered for the period of 2 months is around Rs.80,000. The highest stipend offered is Rs. 3.5 lakhs. The key recruiters are Bridgestone, Nippon, Dell, HP, Mahindra, Cipla, Crisil, Capgemini etc
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for sitting in placements from Term 5 onwards. The average package offered is around Rs.10 Lakhs and the highest package is Rs. 22 Lakhs CTC. 100% of students get placed However, students are allowed to opt-out from the process if he/she has other ventures in mind.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are around 20 lakhs. It includes hostel fees. No scholarship is available. Loans can easily be obtained from various banks. Fees are revised and updated each year. Summer placements are offered to the entire batch.
Campus Life
There are many events held at GLIM, to name a few- TedX GLIM, Convocation ceremony, Pay Pal & Great Lakes program, The great Circle etc. There is also a leadership series held with several business tycoons on board. The students club & committee include the marketing club, consulting club, CIECOM, Food Committee, Karma Yoga Committee etc.
Interview Experience
There was no GD and WAT process. The interview was held in one of the centres in Bangalore. My interview had two panellists -both were the visiting faculty of GLIM. The interview revolved around my family background, my domain-specific inclinations, whether I would prefer to work in an MNC or a startup and reasons for the same and few data puzzles which were quite simple.
