Remarks
The pros of the college are its very rich and erudite faculty which includes both national and international faculty as well as industry experts. The institute also conducts a leadership series that hosts great business managers and tycoons to name a few- Narayan Murthy, Shiv Shivakumar, Devika Subramanian etc. Its large serene campus also adds to the pros. The cons of the college include its not so great ROI and no scholarships. The entrance test scores accepted is CAT, XAT, GMAT and CMAT. Admissions are open for Indian Nationals as well as NRIs. The admission occurs in 2 cycles.
Course Curriculum Overview
The exams are held on a trimester basis. The student-faculty ratio is 20:1. The teachers are acclaimed research scholars and academicians. The review system is fair and is not just based on exam scores but also performance in class, assignments and projects.
Internships Opportunities
180 students bagged the summer internships. The internships are of 8 to 10 weeks in duration. The average stipend offered is around Rs78,980 and the highest stipend offered is around is Rs.3.76 Lakhs. The lowest stipend offered is around Rs.45,000.
Placement Experience
The average placement is around Rs.10 lakhs. The highest placement is around Rs.21.5 lakhs.100% of students get the final placement. The key recruiters include Angel Broking, Nippon, ITC, Dell, HSBC Technologies, JP Morgan, Infosys, Crisil, McKinsey etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are around Rs.19.26 lakhs. Student can obtain loans from a range of Banks all offering a different rate of interests and moratorium period. The loan is mortgage free too. The institute offers no scholarships.
Campus Life
The events include TedX GLIM, The Great Circle, Convocation, Pay Pal & Great Lakes Program and Sanghmitra. Students have access to the library, case studies from Ivy Institutes, live database and journals. L'Attitude is an annual sports event. The student Club includes fundraising and endowment fund, Competition Committee, Consulting Committee, Film Appreciation Club and editorial Team. For marketing aficionado, the institute has Kotler & Srinivas Centre for excellence in marketing.
Interview Experience
There was no group discussion. However, a personal interview round was held. My personal interview questions ranged from hobbies, the reason of the gap year, area of interests, government policies to Oscar nominations and current affairs.
