SRMIST Ghaziabad is one of the best colleges in Delhi NCR

I selected SRM Ghaziabad because of its good placement record and academics. The campus has the adequate infrastructure but campus size leaves you wanting for more, the library is extensive, good campus security, it has most amenities inside the campus, connectivity is a problem due to its location, the staff is helpful, all the working of the institution is centralized at KTR campus which is a boon and a curse as it treats you equally but this campus is dependent. The admission procedure is simple and straightforward you approach the university and provide details and after taking SRMJEE you are allotted a branch and then you can pay the fee. This process can also be done fully online at the website. I went for this college over others because I found that it is comparatively more professional in its operations than other private colleges in Uttar Pradesh and also due to a good placement through centralized placement at the KTR campus.

I have chosen Computer Science and Engineering because it is the best course offered at the NCR campus with the best faculties and resources. The college maintains a good faculty-to-student ratio. The faculty is well qualified with PhDs and at least a Master's degree in their respective subjects, although they struggle in communicating well in English they manage to get the point across. The end semester exams are conducted as per the schedule and the exam is easy to score with regular study and attention in the classroom

Internship opportunities are provided on-campus internships but one can also bag an off-campus internship with a little effort. A lot of students are given opportunities at good companies such as Delloite, HCL, Wipro, etc. The roles offered to students are software developer, junior software developer, system analyst, etc.

The placements at the NCR campus are decent. Students are eligible for placements in the last semester (8th semester). Almost all the students get placed with a mean package of 3.5-4.5 LPA, the minimum package offered is 3 LPA. A lot of companies offer students jobs and some of the big names are Amazon, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, EY, ZS although most of the students are recruited by TCS, Wipro, Infosys. Last year Amazon offered a minimum package of 32 LPA.

The tuition fee per year is Rs 2,20,000 and another fee charged is examination fees during the end semester examinations which is according to the subjects selected. The other costs that can add up are the hostel (85k for AC AND 50k for Non AC), mess (50k), and bus charges (40-50k). In the academic year 2020-21, the scholarships have been suspended temporarily and there is no news of when they would be resumed again.

The Annual National Fest conducted is Rubaroo which is conducted in the month of September. The library is splendid, it's large and modern. Books, journals & newspaper are easily available. Students can study in the library if they wish. There are many sports which one can participate in and the infrastructure for them is also good, there are separate courts for these sports. Some of the sports are football, cricket & basketball. The classrooms are equipped with amenities such as AC, the latest teaching tools, etc. Many clubs are run by the students like clubs for coding programming gaming drama dance literature etc, there something for everyone, and if you do not find it so the college encourages the initiation of new clubs. These clubs regularly host events for the students and keep them engaged.
