Internships

I am a student of OIST Bhopal currently pursuing batch of 2019-2023 and I took admission in it because it was considered among the top colleges of M.P. The best thing I like about it is its infrastructure. It has got a great library a good auditorium and decent labs. There is a lot of openness and you don't feel bottled up. there is hardly any sports facilities here it has a makeshift ground which is sometimes used for cricket but most of the time it's a bus stand. It also got a football ground and basketball court but it remains deserted most of them until a tournament is held. Teaching is very good but it mostly theoretical which is good for competitive exam point but do not makes you industry ready but this is a fault of RGPV the university to which it's affiliated. Placements were decent for CS/IT at any time you could easily get placed in IT companies, but the placements in core companies are lesser. So to summarise the above take admission here is the best decision of yours.

Information technology is a good field because it helps in building your career and portfolio. You can become a software developer or engineer & everyone know that technologies upgrade day by day, so there are a lot of jobs and wider scope in IT. Information technology provides technical courses that will help you in building your career. If you opt for information technology there are various technical courses. I think my college provides great faculty to its students. They've great faculty in each and every department. Not much sure about the Qualifications of the faculty but my department has highly qualified faculty members. In my opinion, the way of teaching matters more I think and that's great. Professors teach us not only to pass the semester but help to solve queries in different competitive or competition exams also. Exams will be conducted thrice i.e. two mid-sems and end-sem examination. The difficulty level is average or sometimes hard too but good.

Netlink, Tcs, Wipro, ITC, etc are some of the reputed companies that offer an internship as well as job opportunities with a stipend for students who do well in their fields and have great skills to uplift that company's name and fame.

Our college placements record is quite excellent, but core companies are lesser placement records. From the 5th-6th semester, companies came for the placements and some companies provide internships and training for the selected students for that company. Above 6.0 CGPA of students are getting placements. For Now, My plan is to be placed in a very reputed company with a very good package for earning and then moving ahead.

My college fees are 96000/- yearly and semester wise is 48000/- sem and it's quite very high. The scholarship is there for low category (sc, st, obc) students to my knowledge. Opportunities are very much provided by our institution and students also apply for many internship opportunities, campus ambassador programs, etc.

Tech fest is conducted every year in my college in that various college students participated in and get the certificate of participation and contests also held like a fashion show, Roadies, mock parliament, etc. And winners get rewards at the last of the tech fest in front of special guests. Now, Our Library is so huge and contains a large number of books, Novels, magazines etc. It's a very good environment within a classroom and it's a very quiet place and good. There is an active page on the Instagram platform of programming in c/c++/java which contains 40k+ followers and still increasing which is run by a student for fellow students. i.e. @codeguyscode
