JMI B-Tech in Electrical Engineering

It is one of the top central university in India. One of the best thing about this, the competition is high but the seats are very less, the strength of students in the whole B-Tech department is 350 seats only/per year. It takes admission according to the JEE mains percentile not it takes entrance exam, but students must have to fill up the admission form from Jmi portal in order to take admission. I got 95.67 percentile in JEE mains, and according to my ranking, this college is best for me. According to my ranking, I had chosen this branch and also I had a great interest in Electrical engineering since school lie only. In my college professors are very friendly, they help us in each step. Also, class strength is not too much, hence professors give time to individuals in theory class as well as in practicals. All the professors had completed PhDs or some are pursuing in their respective subjects, the way of teaching is very good as they clear all of our doubts and they also took interest in listening to our queries. In a year there are 2 main semesters and 4 sessionals exam, the exams are not as much easy nor hard, if anyone will be attentive in the class it is easy to pass the examination and in order to get good CGPA, they also work hard individually.

Yes, it offers many internships off-campus and on-campus both. Companies including Wipro and cognizant offers internship with stipends. But off-campus internship here is not easy to get, only a few get an internship in good companies.

Campus Placement is average not very good. Basically, after the 8th semester, students are eligible for the campus placements. Companies that have visited are Wipro, Tata Power, ABB Siemens, Tourbro Switchgear, Adobe, Oracle, Bluestar, L&T, etc. Our Highest package is 10-12 Lpa, the average is 5-8 LPA, and the minimum is 3-3.5Lpa. 40-50% of students get placements each year. I plan to take the job with a high package either on the campus or offside of campus after completing my course.

The fee is very very less, paying Rs 13350/year is not a big deal. And there are many insider scholarships available, students can easily get the scholarship also. All the scholarship are listed on its website from time to time. Eg;- APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarship, AICTE scholarship, JTA scholarship, AAJMI scholarship, etc.

College life is awesome here, the campus is very green and friendly. The university performs many fests like TED-X, Annual Day and many more. Besides they also conduct many technical fests for the learning and education of students. The library is very good, all the books are available in good quantity also and quality also, Classes have good infrastructure and fully air conditioned. It have a large sports complex named Pataudi sports complex, it has a big football ground and many other games also available. Many sports competition also took place with different college and universities. There are many socials societies and clubs which are run by students like IEEE-JMI, TRS-JMI, AISAC-JMI, CCJ-JMI, SAE-JMI, CSI-JMI, etc.
