GIM Goa is one of the most prestigious management institutes in the country with a great placement record and academic excellence. The admissions take place through entrance exams like CAT XAT GMAT and CMAT, beginning in the month of January and February.

Course Curriculum Overview

The institute follows a 4 semester based curriculum structure. The curriculum is very comprehensive and practical based. All the faculties are from premier institutes like top IIMs and IITs. The overall learning experience is very practical and experience based.

Internships Opportunities

Apart from placements, the college does offer ample internship and live project opportunities to the students from the industry. A company such as Outlook publishing also offer stipend based live projects.

Placement Experience

College placement takes place all around the year with reputable organisations such as Hindustan Unilever, United breweries, Accenture coming for recruitment. The average package of the college is around 11.8 lacs per annum and the highest being 28 lacs per annum. The majority of the students get placed through college placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees for the two year program are approximately 17 lacs. This includes the tuition fees, resource charges, lab fees, etc. Students can easily finance and loan options from all major reputed banks. The college also offers scholarships and incentives for meritorious and economically weaker students.

Campus Life

The life on the campus is very interesting and vibrant. The college provides top class facilities like a digital library, sports amenities, data and computer labs, etc. The Institute also have facilities for various sports and cultural activities. There are many student and committees and clubs and the college also organises an annual cultural and business management fest.

Hostel Facilities

GIM Goa is a residential Institute and all student have to mandatorily opt for a hostel. The accommodation facilities at the hostel range from twin sharing rooms to air conditioned rooms. The hostel mess meals are also good and healthy. One can opt for a hostel through the College admission portal.

Interview Experience

The admission process comprises selection on the basis of entrance scores. This is further followed by group discussion and personal interview. The group discussion personal interview is from topics that include academics, current and business affairs, general knowledge.

GIM: The college that never sleeps.

Placement Experience:

In the first year, students are eligible for summer internship placements from the first term onwards. Decent number of companies visit the campus and offer roles across various domains. The placement committee provides good placement support.

Beyond the Campus Gates of GIM

Placement Experience:

The placement record has been 100% for years now. The SIP process begins in the first year and final placement process starts in the early-middle of second year. The highest package went upto 55 Lacs last year, lowest was around 12 Lacs. I plan to take direct placement from the college and start my corporate career.

Great platform to transform yourself

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very good and faculties are also very qualified. I choose BDA because of its value in the market and my interest area. BDA of GIM is even beating it's flagship course in terms of placements. But the thing is you have to come prepared before coming to B-School. In term-1, there will be basic subjects only but companies coming for summer internship will expect more from you. So, my advice would be to invest the time students get in between admission in B-School and joining the B-School in improving their skills sets.

College way to enter in professional world.

Remarks:

Goa university department of management and studies is very good college for the student who was polish there knowledge through help of faculties who are expertise in there own field. It definitely help to grain more knowledge and improvements of skill but only major thing issue is of placement. There has been not proper placement over the years which should be given priority and introduction of new companies for placement should be brought. Also campus should be focused more and should be improve to some extent.

Entrance Preview:

XAT - 99 percentile. This was the best one that got converted for me in the first attempt. Was wait listed in the other. Given its a tier 1 college with good curriculum & great placement, so it was a no brainer hence went ahead

I had given the CAT examination and scored 95.36 percentile. There is no sectional cutoff for this college. 80 is the cutoff for cat. Beyond the Campus Gates of GIM

Steps of admission process were as follows: 1. Minimum 50% aggregate in Bachelor's Degree 2. Clear cutoff of CAT(approx 85%ile)/XAT(approx 80%ile)/GMAT/CMAT respectively (any one is enough) *They also have an Achiever's Round 3. Shortlisting based on overall academic background 4. Written Ability Test (WAT) - Basic opinion on some random topic is asked, fully proctored 5. Online Interview - Checks basic intellect, general awareness, concept clarity 6. Admission Letter ALL THE NECESSARY DETAILS RELATED TO THE ADMISSION PROCESS ARE AVAILABLE ON THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF GIM In my opinion, the selection process is rigourous enough, I was asked only relevant questions and tasks to do throughout. The admission process was smooth. The application fees and all other details were available on the official site of the college. The college doesn't provide any reservation benefits.
