Entrance Preview

MHT-CET. I was interested to start my own business so took admission. i felt it will be helpful to process further. Admission process is very strict as per pune university norms.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course structure is semester pattern. There are 8 subject in each semester. Theory & practical both are given equal importance. An on field project we have to complete at the end of 2nd year. Some subjects were basics & some were for specialisation. There were 4 specialisation. HR, Marketing, Finance, & operations. I opted for Marketing.

Internships Opportunities

My internship was with The O Hotel, koregaon park, Pune. There were no any stipends paid to me by above mentioned organisation. There were so many companies from each sector. Tegasys - IT sector. Hotel Woodland - Hospitality, Big Bazar - Retail, Axis - Finance, Mahindra – Automobile.

Placement Experience

There were huge sessions of Campus interviews. Companies like Taj Hotels- 9LPA, Airtel- 5LPA, Siemens-5LPA, TCS-12LPA, Dena Bank - 8.5LPA, Vodafone - 8LPA, Abott- 9LPA, Mahindra & Mahindra- 10LPA, like wise there were so many companies.

College Events

Entrepreneurship, Cultural, Sports. Management gave us a full free hand to organised such events. In Entrepreneurship event we had come up with actual business ideas & we have to generate business wit stall in side the college premises. Cultural was mix of national & international tastes. Becoz there were many international students. Sports was rocking event of IIMP.

Fees and Financial Aid

I really do not remember any kind of scholarship awarded by institution. but institutions give sufficient time span in between 2 installment.

Campus Life

Campus life was enjoyable. There were international students also studying. The gender ratio was like 60:40 male to female. There was no any kind of ragging or racism. Student committee was by open election. Sports events were too much cheering session over the year.

Exam Structure

The exam was based on semester pattern. College is affiliated to pune university so university syllabus was there. 5 Subjects were internal+external 3 Subjects were internal only. There hell lot of assignments, projects etc.

My SBS Journey

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

Not a dream college but a real one

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

from 2 sem you get to apply from interships and from 5th sem for placements ,i applied for only company which was tiaa one of the most biggest mnc in india who is direct compitator of jp morgan , i got a package of 6 lacks ctc per anum but the highest package was 12 lacks , the college has a policy that all student gets placed no students are left behind

Promising campus with room for better faculty.

Placement Experience:

After sem 4 we get final placement companies in the campus there are total 200 plus companies come to the campus till september to november almost 35 companies already come to the campus. The companies are ICICI, HDFC, RISHAB WORLD, INSYNC, DENSTU, ITC, BHARAT ELECTRONICS, CORDELIA CRUISE, MORNING STAR, NOMURA, NYKA, NAUKRI.COM. the highest package was given by a company name bharat electronics for HR specialization is 12 lakhs per annum. Almost in my time there 35percent get placed. I plan after degree is first 3-5 yrs in corporate lufe then after own business.

Placement Experience:

To be honest there are placements but the placements are like no one want to be there it is just something unacceptable for the HR students . The promises the long talks are all false and they doesn't focus on students future and career rather they care for just attendance

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.

Remarks:

No such bad remarks though. As the college is very superior and one can take admission with complete ease as the college faculty, staff, workers are very helpful and there motive is very clear and remarkable. This college surely helps students in grooming and enhancing skill to the top. I would definitely recommend this college to the upcoming students those who are planning to do MBA in order to achieve goals and learn quality skills.

I chose indira institute of management pune over other colleges because of its strong reputation affialtion with savitribai Phule Pune University and the well structured BBA Program. The practical learning,industry exposure and supportive faculty make it stand out from other options that i considered.
