100% summer placements

Good aspects: The institute is in a growing phase and it has already become a leader amongst the institute of a similar cadre. It provides a holistic learning experience typical of an IIM. The biggest positive I found about the institute is the plenty of opportunities to start things from scratch which is so difficult in established institutes. IIM Nagpur differentiates itself by offering a Field immersion program and an International Immersion program in both the years of MBA. Bad Aspect: As it is said that "Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder", IIM Nagpur still lags in offering placement opportunities as it is offered by older IIMs, however, it is a matter of discretion.

I wanted to upskill myself before stepping into the corporate world and hence I wanted to go for MBA. The faculty to student ratio is 1:10 at IIMN. Most of the faculty are FPM from older IIMs or from foreign universities and the teaching methodology is similar to older IIMs. All the exams were held at scheduled timings and the difficulty level is moderate to tough.

All the internship opportunities are provided by the placement committee. Roles are ranging from domains like marketing, finance, analytics and operations. Stipend provided ranges from 20k per month to more than 1 lakhs per month.

There is a dedicated placement committee taking care of the placement process of the students. This team works under the guidance of CDS. Placements had been 100% for both summer and final placements. Companies like Bain and Co., Crompton & Greaves, TVS Motors etc. visit the institute on a regular basis.

Fees for 2 years MBA was INR 13.75 lakhs and generally, it increases every year. There are plenty of scholarship opportunities for people from low income groups and other categories. Scholarships are also provided on a merit basis.

Tangerine Trails is the annual case study fest organised by IIM Nagpur students. Zero Mile fest is the annual cultural fest that started in the year 2020. The annual CXOs conclave called ILLUME is the most engaging and productive part of 2 years MBA journey at IIMN. There are library facilities and world class classrooms already on the campus along with proper infrastructure for sports and gym.

The hostel facility is world-class. Meal quality and the menu is as per the standards in the government institutes of the country. The rooms are spacious along with inbuilt furniture. On the old campus, I got a room with an attached lat bath.

There was no GD in the admission process, however, there was WAT and PI during admissions. The WAT consisted of a general knowledge topic which required presenting a point of view on that topic. During the interview, questions were revolving around my previous work experience and hobbies. Professors generally question the assumptions and don't grill much if they are satisfied with the logic behind the answers.
