Remarks
TIT Bhopal is one of the best colleges in Bhopal according to ranking. The campus is great with a good number of experienced faculties. TIT Bhopal had all the impressive resources which eased my decision to go to this college. The Admission was through MP-PET in May 2012. Then I opted for counselling through which I got this college. The admission process included document verification and final selection. The college started on August 28, 2012.
Course Curriculum Overview
- In the Mechanical department, the faculty-student ratio is about 1:12. - The course curriculum is the latest according to the RGPV University. - Most of the faculties are well qualified and best for the subjects they taught. The HODs and other top level faculties were constantly rotated throughout 4 different colleges in the TIT group. - Exams were the University exams and it was really challenging. However, the exams were easy to pass.
Placement Experience
- There are a few good IT companies for the campus placements, rest all are BPO/KPOs which students had to join because they have no other options. - There was campus training preparation given to us by Sandeep sir and Ganeshan sir. In my class, about 30% of students were placed through campus placements. - I worked for 2.5 years after getting placed through campus placement. After that, I prepared for CAT and got selected in IIT Kharagpur for MBA.
Fees and Financial Aid
- In 2012 the course fees was 65500 per year. Apart from that maybe 10000 as the living cost. The very next year, the fees were increased by 10 K that is it increased to 75000 per year. - I got assistance through an MP State government scholarship based on my financial condition. - In the campus placements, I got placed in 3 different companies, out of which I chose Motif India Infotech with the package of 2.7 LPA.
Campus Life
- Campus life is okay as it was a non-residential course. I lived at Shanti Niketan in a room on rent. - Whatever campus life I attended, it was during college hours. The campus life was good actually if we compare other state colleges. We had one big canteen in TIT-Science, a small canteen in TIT-College. There were Nescafe's and Lipton cafes on the campus. The campus is huge. - There were a few club and committees there life cultural club, festivity club, literary club, etc. - Classroom was okay with a blackboard, fans, table chairs. - Sports and extra-curricular activities are not there. The college does not focus on extracurricular activities or any sports, only studies.
