Directly admitted in Ph.D. programme on the basis of merit and interview. The facilities are excellent with good academic environment.

Nicely developed curriculum at par with top engineering colleges of the country. Research oriented teaching methodology is adopted by faculty at PG levels. Curriculum is well balanced with good weightage to practical component and application based problem solving.

No internships are provided in mechanical engineering discipline. Some disciplines offer stipend approved by AICTE. Very less number of scholarships are available, but college is in process of getting scholarships sanctioned from sponsors.

Although seated in a remote city (from metros and capitals), the college attracts good companies for campus interview including TCS,Wipro, Hindustan Zinc Ltd, Mahendra and Mahendra, John Deere, Honda Ciel, HCL technologies, Binani Cements, JK Cements, Tech Mahendra, etc. Placement cell exerts good efforts and average package during campus placement is between 3-5 lakh.

College organise the college function with events of literary, cultural and technical nature. Inter-college competitions are organised by University and University teams are participating in Youth Festivals of Agri Universities of country. Usually not big but events are good and are appreciated by student community.

The fee structure is as per the norms laid out by Government of Rajasthan. It is quite low (less than 100000/- per annum) for academics as well as hostel accommodation. Fee can be deposited in two installments at the begining of each semester. It is at par with all colleges in the state where self finance seats are there.

All nationalised banks extend educational loan for fee. SJ Jindal Trust scholarship is awarded every year to Agriculture Engineering students. Toppers of all branches receive scholarship from Hindustan Zinc Ltd. Few more private scholarships are available for needy students.

Gender ratio is 10M:2F average (20% girls). Students from other state are also admitted (15%); 4 boys hostel for UG and 2 girls hostel are available with average amenities. Cultural activities are well spread during both semesters. Student chapters of professional society are active in some disciplines. Good tolerance to diversity. College gets ample funds for development as it is self financed.

Average hostel facility (as mostly in government colleges). Mess and food are also average. Fee is also very less for hostel. 4 UG hostels, 2 PG hostels and 2 girls hostels are available with about 600-700 capacity in total. Private hostels are available in vicinity at reasonable rates.

College is a constituent college of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur. The examinations are controlled by the University with paper setters and examiners from all over the country. Internal exams (20%) are once in a sem. Classes are interspersed with labs and practice sessions. Average engagement leaves comfortable situation for having entertainment between studies.

Almost all faculty members are Ph.D. from institutes of national repute with good research publications. Faculty is well versed with the subject specialisations and are keen on teaching with illustrations. Faculty also undertake research projects funded from AICTE, PCRA, DST, ICAR, etc.
