Remarks
Initially, I choose this college because it was near to my residential place and has a decent campus and good infrastructure. Moreover, it would be easy for me to travel to college and can also become a day scholar. Furthermore, due to the COVID-19 situation, the admissions were late. I was admitted in college in September 2020 and my classes of the first semester started on 15 September 2020. The teachers are highly educated here and are also very friendly. The admission process was seamless and due to pandemic all the formalities were done online and the college fees was taken from us via online net banking. I personally checked many websites like shiksha.com and others too while checking for campus reviews and placement statistics. Sadly, placements statistics are not that great, but one can always have a door of off-campus open at each and every stage. I preferred this college over others because it is also a reputed college and the admission was on merit basis. I opted for BTECH CSE.
Course Curriculum Overview
I opted for BTECH CSE at Jamia Hamdard University. I opted for this course because I have a keen interest in CSE and always wanted to opt it. Furthermore, I could have easily got into some other government college but would have never got CSE due to a little less merit. So I opted BTECH CSE here. The faculty to student ratio is not that much great, but it's not that much worse. It's 1:2. The teachers and faculty here are highly educated and some are even from a technical background, some are even IITians, some have done PhD in respective subjects, and they are very friendly. They teach us is the easiest way possible and also treat our doubts in class as well as personally via telephonic call or in person. The examinations were held quite a on time and due to the pandemic they were sadly online this time and proper invagination was there. The examinations were based on the basics of core subjects and were easy to pass, and I also scored good marks.
Placement Experience
The placement is decent here. Around 70-80 percent of students get placed each year. The average package is 6 lakhs per annum, and we have been informed that last year one student was also placed at the highest package of 18 lakh. Many companies come and this college has its own placement cell which is great, and we have also been informed that they will soon have their own incubator cell too. Companies that visit the campus include Amazon, HCL, TCS, etc every year. The placement is supportive and good. My plan after getting the degree is to do to get into computer networking and security in all sense.
Fees and Financial Aid
Frankly speaking, its government-aided semi-private college and fees are normalized as of DTU or NSIT. The fee structure is like that we have to pay 195000 in the first year in which 5000 is library refundable caution money. After that, it is 180000. So total we have to pay around 7.5 lakhs for the tenure of 4 years. As for me, I have not taken any of the financial aid and stuff, but there are many assistances which can be availed to get financial relaxation. I can not comment on the stipend regarding the internships as I am in my first year, but I have contacted the seniors, and they tell me like there is a decent amount for the internships available, but there are only a few internship opportunities on campus.
Campus Life
It has a decent campus life and one of the best libraries available. The campus is very big. Each department has its own dedicated cell. Moreover, our campus is fully Wi-Fi-centred with unlimited data and decent speed. Classrooms are very big with projectors. The campus facility has air conditioning in classrooms. The canteen provides hygienic food at affordable prices. As speaking of the location of the college, it is very close to the metro station. The overall campus of our college is very good with beautiful green trees and bushes and parking facility is in abundant.
Other Applied Colleges
Indraprastha university | BTECH CSE
Al the colleges which are in IPU in Dehli are quite far away from my residential place.
