IMI Delhi - The Gem

Based on the calls that I had, IMI Delhi was one of the best alternatives as most of the companies that I wanted to work in visits their campus for hiring, apart from that I heard from a few of their Alumni that in terms of exposure it is better than other B-Schools from the same band, faculty is also really good.

The course is similar to other B-Schools but it has been structured in a better way, in the first semester, subjects are taught which forms a base and brings all the students who are not from commerce background to a level playing field, faculties are always ready to go beyond their call of duty to support students and to make sure that the concepts are clear to them.

The internship is great in terms of companies, exposure, and stipend too. Almost all the students receive it from within the campus, very few opt-outs of the process if they secure a better one off-campus, but it rarely happens as on-campus internship opportunities are much better in comparison to off-campus.

Placements are good in comparison to other Colleges which are in the same band, companies like Reliance, RB, ICICI, HDFC are regular recruiters, and these companies pay a good amount of package too. Students can easily expect a package of 8-12 LPA on average.

Fees is comparatively a bit high if you look at it from an ROI perspective but in terms of exposure and facilities provided, it seems justified, scholarships are provided to students who perform exceptionally in their academics and that too consistently, since there is relative marking, its up to you how much effort you out at the end of the day.

Campus life is really good as at the end of the day MBA is all about networking, in campus you not only interact with your batch mates but also get the opportunity to interact with your seniors, teachers, professors, and at times your alums too. It helps a lot as interacting with so many people, it gives you an opportunity to learn from their experience.

Personal Interview and Extempore is the most critical thing apart from your CAT Score which is the decider in the selection process. For both things, only thing which is required is your communication skill and knowledge about the recent news and industry happenings.
