Focuses on practical knowledge

JMIT is near to my city and has better placements as compared to other colleges in my locality. The infrastructure and facilities are good over here. Basically, here they more focus on practical knowledge rather than bookish knowledge. The minimum eligibility for admission is to have atleast 50% in 12th. Companies visiting JMIT are TCS, Infosys, Net Solutions, Wipro etc. TCS hires a maximum number of students from JMIT every year. The bad aspect that I think is that they do not let students go out of college before 4 pm which I think is not right.

I choose this course because I am very interested in this field and want to do something creative. Teachers in JMIT are knowledgeable, well qualified and their behaviour is quite nice. They are highly qualified and cleared many exams like Gate, Net etc. Here, teachers mainly focus on practical knowledge and they are very cooperative. The student-teacher ratio is 60:1. All the exams happen on time and according to my, it's not too much difficult to pass the exams.

Students become eligible for their placements in their 5th semester. The highest package offered is near about 10-12LPA and the lowest package is 2.5LPA. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys etc are visiting our campus. TCS hires a maximum no. of students from our college. Around 50% to 60% of the total students get placements based on their skills. Most of the students get placed are from the computer and IT branch. Most of the students are hired with an average package of 3LPA. ED cell provides great opportunities and also provides funds.

The fee structure of the college is fine and affordable. The college offers various scholarships. Basically, they provided scholarships to the weaker sections on the basis of merit. A loan facility is also available in our college. They give interest loan to the students and give one year time after graduation. After one year we can pay the money slowly. This is a great opportunity for poor student who can't afford that much money to pay.

The annual fest is organized every year which includes various activities like stage performance (singing, dance, skit etc). Students can easily take part in any activity as per their preference. Sports meet is also organized on our campus. There are a huge number of books available in our library. Students can easily issue their book for 15 days or for the whole semester evenly. There are around 50 clubs that organize various activities on the regular basis.

Candidate must have qualified 10+2 or an equivalent exam from a recognized school with aggregate marks of atleast 50%.
