My college- IIM Raipur

Reason to attend this college: 1- It is one of the prestigious B-school in India. The brand name and quality of college as I researched is at par the industry. 2- The professors are highly qualified with industry experience and teaching expertise. 3- The college was 9 years old when I joined, and has now moved to a new location with state of the art infrastructure and all equipment and facilities for teaching and learning is of latest technology. 4- The placement reports shows an average package of 14LPA which is a good ROI and also the companies that comes to campus are one of the growing and innovative companies, big brand in the industry. 5- The location of the college is also a good reason, as the airport and railway station are 10-15 KM away, the markets are near but not so near to disturb the study of students. 6- The hostels have individual rooms for everyone and sports complex and other retreat points for students to take a break from academic building and learn from fellows.

The course book we follow is Harvard based and taught in a case study manner giving us exposure to the global industry and business. The practical approach of study in the form of debates, presentations, class exercises and participation not just increase the interest among students but also enhance communication and other soft skills. The professors are highly educated and hold great experience in teaching and industry knowledge. The exams were conducted in mid term-end term format, end terms happening every 3 months. There are also quizzes and presentations in between which carries marks.

Yes, the college offers summer internship to first year students for 2 months in the months of the start of April to the end of May/ start of June. The internships help in getting an idea about the corporate culture and have a practical understanding.

Students do an internship in the first year for 2 months and get placed by the college committee/ Placement cell. Then for 2 years final placements take place. There is 100% on campus placements in IIM Raipur.

The fee in the 2019-2021 batch is 14.5 lakh for 2 years, Students get a scholarship if they belong to some categories, SC, ST etc. For financial assistance or loan purpose, there is an on campus bank providing loan for fees and monthly expense at a very low rate than the market. You can also opt for a loan from any other bank if you want. The bank on the campus has a fully functional building with ATM as well. Campus jobs are good. 100% placements record is seen.

The campus life is one of the best among any MNA colleges. There are all facilities starting from the academic block for classes, library, computer lab to informal points like sports complex, swimming pool, Amu, cafes, eateries, small mall for essentials etc.

There are 5 hostels, 1 for girls and 4 for boys in our batch as per gender ratio. Hostel rooms are individual for all with attached bathroom, washing facilities, laundry room, common balcony. It is near to mess and sports complex,

Yes after CAT, there is a common process for all IIMs call CAP where there is WAT/PI conducted and after the results are declared you get shortlists from college and then you can choose a college of your preference.
