POOJA GUSAIN's Review On Uttaranchal University, Dehradun

The reason to choose this college is - * It is not so far from my home. * It is not so expensive. * Faculties are very supportive. * Campus area is so big and very beautiful too. * Bus facility also is provided.

I choose this course because as per today's scenario and need, Computer application knowledge is required in every field. IT sector is booming all over the world. The course curriculum is very good. Not so much burden of the studies. Limited subjects were provided every semester by the college. Faculties are also very good. They are supportive of the students. They start every new subject from the very basic. The teacher is also very attentive, active, and punctual. They attend mostly all the classes and reached before the time of the class schedule timing. so, the examination pattern b is like--there is two internals which is of 10 marks and 1 external at the end of the semester which is of 60 marks and the difficulty level of questions is not so hard. Paper is moderate.

If I talk about campus placements then, students become eligible in the 2nd last semester for giving the campus placements. There were many companies visited in our college either related to IT or marketing like Deloitte, Wipro, Infosys, Hexaware, Capgemini, cognizant, these are related to IT sector. And the marketing company's were like sofsages, propel guru marketing, cynetcynet, decathlon and many more. So the package they provide is 2.5 lacs, 3 lacs, 4 lacs, 4.5 lacs, etc. So the percentage criteria are like that the 60% minimum is mandatory and there would be no active backlogs for all students but it's is not applicable for all companies. My plan after getting the degree is just that I am only looking for a job related to my sector. After having experience of a job I will think about continuing my master's degree.

Fees structure is like that- they provide 15% fees consession for Uttarakhand students only means who belong to Uttrakhand. So the fees are less for Uttrakhand students as compare to other students. Also, the students who were scored 90% above marks in 12th, they provide scholarships for them. Now moving on to campus placement jobs, then I must say they are also very good in this too. But mostly they call marketing-related companies but yes IT-related companies are also coming for Uttaranchal university too as it is a pool campus and come in another college. So yes, overall it's is good.

So, there are many inter-related fests organized by different departments and buildings. But the main fest which is the annual fest or also called celebrity fest conducted for all departments of students of Uttaranchal university held in may month. Many celebrities have been come till now like Daljit Dosanjh, paper, Shirley Setia and so many. If I talk about the availability of books in the library. So they provide every subject of books by the library of college for every student at the starting of every semester. Library management is also very good. We also can take any type of book as per our interest, a college I'd card is only required. Now, moving on to sports then they also conducted many extracurricular activities, sports, and athletics every year. It's between inter-departments or also inter-college too. Yes, we also have an official Whatsapp group for the students run by the students and many faculty members.
