Campus environment is very good all senior and teachers are very friendly and motivated there is not very good sports facilities but enough according to student strength of the college. Research facilities are not good. Hostels are very good and the food is also satisfactory. There is a central library which is also good and the college also has an incubator center 1st incubator center in the northeast. Have a decent computer lab and instructors are good overall campus environment is good,

Most of the faculty members are friendly and supportive, student to faculty ratio 1:15, most of the faculty are well educated complete their Ph.D., there are 4 major exams in one semester 2 sessional and 1 mid-semester and 1 end semester, courses are not that much updated but still fine enough in the 1st-year syllabus will common for all the branches. The difficulty level of the exam is decent I opted for the course because of placement records of the college and no of company visits in college

College offer internship in 3rd year or 5th-semester company like Boston scientific, ixia offers internship there are many projects sessions happens in college with the collaboration with organizations like DRDO and ISRO. SMIT is the first college to have an incubator center where you can take entrepreneurship training and there is a very good mechanical lab that will encourage you for industrial training

From the 6th semester you are eligible for placement, a company like MICROSOFT, AMAZON, WELL FARAGO, DELL, MU SIGMA, IXIA, DELL, ERICSSON, SHELL, TCS, WIPRO, and many more in 2020 there are approx 410 offers for 378 students registered for placement MICROSOFT and AMAZON offered the highest package of 24 lac per year followed by dell and average package is around 4 lac approximately 94% students are placed.

A fee structure will be provided to the student at admission time and there is generally no hike in that fee (student have to pay the fee according to the fee structure) there are scholarship for the student based on Manipal test and class 12 exam percentage maximum scholarship you can get is 30% there is a special scholarship for a student of Sikkim as SMIT has 75% seats reserved for the student of Sikkim (student of Sikkim who takes admission from government Kota will get 75% fee waiver)there is no any campus job and cost to the students is about 4500 to 6000

Campus life is great campus is beautiful and vibrant there is a central library which is open till 9pm have a vast collection of book classrooms is decent to have a projector there is a very good sports complex in the campus for indoor sports like basketball badminton table tennis snooker swimming pool and many more there is also have a football field and outdoor court for basketball, badminton and tennis there are many clubs in college like event management club,Al club, dance club, instrumental club, and many more we have annual fest kalrav and tech fest tech adrishta which are amazing

Hostels of smit are good food is also decent there are AC and non AC both rooms are available both single and double room for a hostel just you have to go to administration block and fill the form for a hostel and in a day hostel will be allotted to you there is enough hostel so there no shortage of room best part of the hostel is that washroom is attached to your room and there a bed, table, and almirahs you will get in room hostel will be cleaned every day by maids

The are multiple moods of admission in Smit you can take admission on the basis of jee main or on the basis of 12 th board percentage or by writing MET Test test has 20maths, 15 physics, 15chemistry, 10 English questionss (both MCQ and numerical based questions will be asked 5 numerical in each subject except English rest MCQ ) total duration of the exam will be 2 hours and total marks will be 240(may varies)After getting a rank in MET exam you have to fill the counseling form of admission then a seat will be allotted to you as per as you performance ( there is no any interview)
