The main good aspects regarding this college are that likewise in any other college there were no miss of classes as if there were 5 to 10% students present in the class, the professors never miss the classes. The admission starts in this college was only after the results of the candidate's respective board examination only as the selection is based on a merit basis. The most prominent reason for selecting this college was that this is the premium college in the entire northeastern states of India. I choosed this course as it was in high demand and the most prestigious course. There were multiple faculties with highly equipped with proper knowledge in every department and the faculty: student ratio would stand at 1:40. The faculties are highly talented as they have their own written books and refreshers such as DK Goel and many others in all the subjects of commerce field and are highly selling and teaching in whole over Assam. Usually, the faculties hold the degree like MCOM, PHD, LLB, MPhil, BED, PGDCA, MA, MSC, etc in all the respective subjects. The exam terms were very straight forward and were always announced by the authorities as there were sessional examination before the 6 monthly semester exams and are relatively easy to pass.

The campus placement in this college is relatively high among the other colleges in Guwahati. Students from degree 5th sem become eligible for campus placement in several cases. The companies like Axis Bank, Canara Bank, Nestle Ltd, Bata etc approach campus placement. The highest packages go to 8 to 10 lakhs per annum and the average of it was 5 to 6 lakhs per annum. The 30% to 45% of students get the placement either from campus or outside the campus within completing their degree seriously. My plan was for entrance exams like Bank PO etc.

The only cheapest college in the whole North East is Guwahati Commerce college and I felt it after my admission as there were very lowest admission fees of 4000 to 6000 rupees and the most beneficial thing is that being a govt college it has several types of scholarship availing to every category of students such as general category, SC, ST, OBC etc. The most famous of it was the Ishan Udhay scholarship which avails students of every category scoring relatively good marks in their secondary level avails rupees 1.5 lakhs in three 3 years of their degree span. And it also includes many other scholarships from the NSP portal such as Minority scholarship, MLA scholarship, any other state or central govt scholarships.

There were several social groups such as NSS (National social service), NCC, scout and guide etc in the college which helps students to built-in their personality. And also includes some other digital groups such as in platforms like WhatsApp groups and other digital platforms. There were countless events conducted in the college, amongst them the main college's events were like college freshman programme, college week of playing countless games, other cultural programs like debate competition etc. There was a huge library namely, DR. BIRINCHI KUMAR BARUAH LIBRARY, which holds highly prestigious books, magazines and other journals which were the very need of the students. The most popular mention about the college was its classrooms which were highly equipped with digital technologies, which avails the students to learn the professional platforms like TALLY, E-filling etc.
