I had taken AIEEE, the former equivalent of the present JEE mains. I had a rank of 20k. I had keen interest in metallurgy, after some research I found out that NIT Bhopal had very advanced material science and metallurgical engineering department. So I choose MSME at MANIT Bhopal.

The course curriculum is well drafted taken into consideration the need of the present industries. They strike a perfect balance between technical and non technical courses to make you a complete engineer with high market value. The course for mechanical engineering for instance had a well crafted gallimaufry of management and Mecha subjects. The labs at manit will widen your vision towards the subject further.

Manit, probably is one of the best NITs when it comes to internships. While some students get foreign interns other manage to intern at big shots of the Indian industries and sometimes even at startups. I myself interned at four different places in the course of four years.

Excellent! If you're a cse student, heaven is what comes closest to describing the placements. For others though you might have to struggle a bit, but opportunities are many. For exact figures I would recommend you to visit the official placement page of NIT B. NIT B placements. That will give you all the statistics that you are looking for. To top it all you have a very supportive alumni base so job insecurity takes a backseat here.

Technical fest- TechnoSearch, Cult fest- Maffick, Lit fest- Ripple, Entrepreneurship summit- EDC, entrepreneurship development challenge. We have a plenty of weekend events. The number woukd vary from half a dozen to a dozen events every weekend. These at times also include, Heath runs, exhibitions, awareness drives, treasure hunts, food fares, photo booths among others.

Feasible. For us it was a bleak 22k per semester. The detailed structure can be found at manit.ac.in, the official website of manit. In any case the fee will be way lesser than any of the private colleges. The hostel fee is negligible. You will never feel like you paid more.

Scholarships. By the college No significant scholarships based on merit. However for financially challenged students the college does has a couple of schemes. If you're looking for scholarships I would suggest applying for some good private scholarship.

Manit has gargantuan campus, 650 acres to be precise. It is the niche that one needs to develop into complete engineers. The campus is green, more so because of the 'weeds' that you might find anywhere, unrestrained. The greenery is also attributed to the NRI students who raise the mercury a few notches further by their presence. MANIT unlike other NITs is centrally located.

This is a front that needs some improvement. Mess food will be messy. But considering the central location of the institute you will hardly be eating in the mess. If you are a chef yourself, it will be easy making friends. People will heard around you for the home cooked food. And if you aren't one, don't worry you always have the two minute magical maggi noodles.

The Alumni network is well established and well connected. They have frequent meets and reunions, zone wise, country wise, batch wise, branch wise and sometimes even combined. The Alumni network is strong enough to help the budding neophytes of their alma mater. The Alumni have unfurled the banner of manit at the peak of success in various domains.

The exam structure is lenient. You have to stock to the UG ordinance and class notes while preparing. The paper won't be a surprise in most cases in cases however, you might find an unpleasant surprise in the paper. But this shouldn't bug you as we have relative grading here. So despite a tough paper your grades won't go down.

The faculty, specially the senior cadre faculties are very qualified. But yes to gaining knowledge from them will involve being attentive and digging deep into them to reach the core of leaning. The faculty is not treating at manit unlike other institutions.
