Remarks

Not having a ground is a very big remark. College fest during day time is a turn off. Management is pretty strict and rude during your first year but you'll become friends after the first. True story. Management lacks funds all the time and sometimes, students will be paying a little amount from their pockets for some events. Voluntary anyway.

Entrance Preview

Well, I had written my AIEEE and EAMCET after my 12th. I got admission at HITAM based on my EAMCET score - 120000. It was a web based counseling. I liked the campus and it was an established in 2001. Engineering colleges are good when they're well established.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

In Computer Science Curriculum, I'd say every subject is important. It was affiliated to JNTUH so pretty much the same syllabus. You can elect your subjects post 2nd year. Syllabus is pretty easy. It's always good to refer to text books than all in ones. It's a good practice to go above and beyond your syllabus. Don't limit yourself.

Internships Opportunities

I haven't seen any internship opportunities within college. However, college permits you to take up internships outside college during your course.

Placement Experience

3.5

I haven't seen biggies like Microsoft and Amazon for placements(they go to top tier colleges) but decent companies like Infosys come to college for campus drives. Mostly, you'll see students from 3rd and 4th years eligible for the campus drives. College will also arrange for off campus drives in and around college premises and you'll be posted about it.

College Events

3.5

College celebrates Annual fest, Esparto which includes both cultural and tech fest. Traditional day, Independence day and Republic day. Yes, they do. College fest isn't a night festival but a day one which is quite boring. I personally organized college cultural fest, Esparto in 2012 and 2013. Principal was too adamant about evening events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I studied on scholarships. Fee was 32000 per semester. A total of 7. If you're looking for a management seat, it depends on your allocated faculty who deals with it. It's always a good idea to negotiate and then take up a seat. Comparatively, ECE and CSE management seat are expensive than the other branches.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, college offers you a chance to claim for scholarships but there are certain norms and conditions that are in place now like you need to have a good attendance percentage, less numbers of backlogs and such sort. Management students will not be eligible for scholarships.

Campus Life

3

Campus life is pretty good. I personally liked it. Sports, when we studied, there wasn't a cricket ground but yeah, college managed to purchase a land and making it into a ground. Apart from that, college is pretty famous for Volleyball and football. Gender ratio is more or less the same. Mechanical hardly has any girls. CSE had more number of girls than guys.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

College canteen's food is decent and not so expensive. HITAM doesn't have a college hostel or a mess. There are hostels nearby college which are very untidy. If you stay far far away from the college, it's not a good idea to move to those hostels but you can always find someone to share the rent for a place.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni is the best part. On every republic and independence day, alumni meet will be arranged and an option to interact with them. They are helpful to an extent. I wouldn't say you'll be treated like a special guest but few get the honor to talk to the chairman, his parents are Telangana freedom fighters. Pretty decent person.

Exam Structure

Engineering is all about exams. Labs will be scheduled thrice a week(all subjects) rest will be theory. It's fun in labs. You'll feel much better after labs. Labs will frequently take half of your day which means, half day theory classes and that other half will be allotted for labs thrice in a week.

Faculty

3.5

Tech faculty is good with a guiding HOD. Encourages you to write and publish IEEE journals. Even though faculty sometimes stammer while speaking in English, subject knowledge is good. Faculty in Labs are pretty good. Even principal comes down to teach you some classes so you can imagine.
