Remarks
Professor's and Teaching system is quite good even in the pandemic. They give problems to practice discuss them, Even extracurricular activities are very good. Admission was through JOSSA merit based on JEE Advanced. This was the best I was getting in my rank and I gave preference to college which was close to my home.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was interested in some creative stuff and mechanical engineering is best for it and As I preferred IIT Kanpur, it was known the best for ME branch Faculty: students are 1:90 All professor are PHD and their teaching method is awesome The quiz depends on the professor, but midsem and endsem are per 2 months If you had studied throughout the year then it was a piece of cake
Internships Opportunities
They gave us plenty of opportunities for internships. Some of them were paid and some of them were not. The one I applied for was UnChaAi. It was a a startup from a senior. And I got selected for this.
Placement Experience
As I am in the 1st year of my college, I am not very familiar with placements but as I heard from seniors it is 20lac per annum as avg. My plans are getting placement through coding curriculum and after that, I will try for UPSC.
Fees and Financial Aid
It is 1lakh/semester tution fee for general and obviously category. If you are from the general category and your family income is less than 5lakh/year then you will get a 2/3rd scholarship in tution fee. And if it is below 1 lac/year, then you can get 100 scholarship in tution fee
Campus Life
The annual festival is named 'Antaragni' Almost every book that you will need for your graduation is available in the P Kelkar library. IIT Kanpur is probably the best college in India regarding sports activities. They included Physical education in their course curriculum. They have a lot of social GPS and clubs. The most Famous one is public opinion society. There is a dance club, film club,, etc.
