Remarks
In the final year, we (NCR students) go to KTR Campus for placements, there have been some seniors/alumni saying that they have faced discrimination during placements because they were not from KTR Campus and dull students from KTR got the job offer over better NCR students (even after having 5 stars on CodeChef and years of competitive programming) recruiter won't ask for the campus you belong but they do know so by looking at your registration number. Also, if you have less than 80% in 10th or 12th, you might reconsider this college BCS they won't even allow you to sit in the recruitment assessment even if the JD shows that the company's reqm is just 60% because they do shortlist top 100 students from NCR which is top 10% only and they do so using your 12th,10th, and BTech CGPA while in KTR more percentage of students are allowed to sit in the test (90%-100%). Even if u work hard during BTech and got even 9.5 CGPA, you won't even be allowed for recruiter test BCS of 10th / 12th.
Course Curriculum Overview
We have 3 CTs and then the semester exam so it's a pretty good warmup for semesters. The faculty is great and is always ready to help. If you go to any teacher's cabin even before the CTs or exams, they would teach you the whole topic or as many topics as you want. This is the only good thing about this college. Some faculties are rude too (2 out of 100) but these are the faculties who could never explain a topic well and did just book readings in class. Maybe, they didn't know the topics themselves. Overall, I would prefer the NCR campus over KTR when it comes to teaching as most of the faculties are highly skilled. But, when it comes to placement, KTR is 100 times better and preferred.
Internships Opportunities
From the start of 3rd year, companies start coming and we get internship opportunities. It is April and I'm in my 6th semester yet and by this time 15+ companies have already visited the campus for internships. I have cleared up till the interview round for 2 of them but in one of the companies, KTR students got the offer over me. By digging more about him and asking one of my friends in KTR, I came to know that the guy who got the offer was not so good in programming/academics neither he had speaking skills.
Placement Experience
Already discussed about the placements in my 1st answer. KTR students are preferred over NCR and they won't even let you know this. At the time of admission, they say that all the students irrespective of campus get the equal opportunity which is not even 10% of the complete truth. Still, if you have 90% + in 10th and 12th and manage to get 9+ CGPA in BTech, you will be among the top 100 students of NCR and you would be allowed to sit for almost every test
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are pretty average (2,14,000 per year) not high, not low. But it's definitely lower than KTR. Hostel charges are 1,11,000 for non AC (2 or 3 bed sharing) and 1,55,000 for AC (2-3 bed sharing). Plus there are additional charges like exam fee which is 4000+ for 1 sem.
Campus Life
Annual Fest: Rubaroo There are clubs of all kind, Music, Fashion, Dance, Tech, etc I have been in Music, Fashion, and Tech and have enjoyed it alot since you get wonderful teammates who later on become your friends, we performed at almost every stage event be it rubaroo, founder's day or a tech fest and since my 2nd year, I have coordinated these teams as well so you buildup leadership qualities too if you are good enough in the team.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are not so good but they're decent and liveable. Mess food is 4/10 as it is not good. I would suggest taking a flat/pg outside as it would be healthier and hygienic and you will get better food. Still, you get access to the ground till 9 PM
Interview Experience
I entered through the SRMJEE exam but I've heard some cases of students entering through their parent's reach (politicians) without even giving exams. I was preparing for JEE so, I gave several other exams too and got decent ranks in all of them.
