Remarks
LNCT Bhopal is rated among the top private colleges in Bhopal, even rated first by some magazines. I was not able to bag any reputed government college with the stream I wanted which is computer science, so I turned towards a private yet highly reputed college among placements and academic-related criteria. The admission process is pretty smooth, one has to make an account on the directorate of technical education M.P. and provide all the valid documents needed. For KYC purpose, you may need to visit the nearest college listed. There would be 2 to 3 rounds depending upon the number of students and seats available. After you are allotted an institute, you need to physically visit the campus get the admission process to finalise, pay the required amount of fees and bam, you have completed your admission process. The counselling starts around the month of June but due to corona impact, we observed that it delayed by 3 to 4 months last year.
Course Curriculum Overview
Any engineering aspirant nowadays would ask for one branch only, ie computer science as it is the most in-demand streams as of now. also, due to my residing interest in computers and in programming languages, from the 10th onwards I was pretty clear that I would go for CSE. The student to faculty ratio is about 30:1. Apart from subject professors, a batch has two mentors to whom you can contact any time if you have any query or want any information regarding anything. also subject teachers tends to focus on every student, unlike other colleges. within 4 to 5 days, professors remember the name of about 60 students of class which shows their attention towards the batch. Most faculties have a teaching experience of at least 6 to 8 years and have master degrees. Some senior faculties even have degrees from NITs and other reputed IIITs. They are highly educated and most professors don't even bring notes along with them as they have every topic clear by heart.
Placement Experience
LNCT Bhopal is proudly known for its placements in the whole MP. Dr Anuj Garg puts a lot of efforts into students so that they can get their dream job. The T&P department becomes hyperactive from your 6th semester and helps students in every possible way. Aptitude, reasoning, English and programming classes are held for all branch students. They make you aware of MNC's exam from time to time and prepare for interviews as well. many companies ranging from TCS, Wipro, Accenture, Vmware, Infosys visits the college campus to pick up the meritious students directly from the campus. The highest package of the college ranges from about 20-25 lacs and the average package ranges from 4 to 5 lacs. The college tries to make it possible for every student to get placed so he won't have to be disappointed after completing his/her degree. About 70-80% of students make it and get placed in reputed companies. Many students feel less interested in campus placement and opt for competitive exams like GATE/CAT.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college is permitted by AICTE to make a particular hike In the semester fee that ranges approximately from 5 to 10 thousand INR. As of now, I'm paying 49000 fees per semester along with a compulsory bus fee of 13700. so it becomes 113700 for the whole year. Since I'm from the general category and didn't fell into the EWS category, I could not avail of scholarship benefits. But those students who possess more than 85 percentage in 12th and an AIR in JEE less than 20k avail a full scholarship on the tuition fee. Apart from that, the national scholarship portal also provides about 40000 cash in form of scholarship to minorities and other weaker sections of society.
Campus Life
The college management is pretty strict about discipline. If you have high hopes after watching college life in movies and other regional colleges, you might get disappointed in LNCT. You are not allowed to roam on the college campus for no reason, however, if you want to bunk a lecture you can go to the library. they don't allow this officially but still, they neglect it because you are studying somewhere at least and using the time. 75% attendance criteria are followed very strictly and students are barred from mid sem and end sem if they don't achieve this mark. The college library provides a calm and soothing environment to study. It is very spacious, full of light and rich with books from our syllabus and out of syllabus too. One can simply find any content they want. Computers are placed as well if you want to access the digital content. Classrooms are equipped with digital equipment for a better understanding of concepts. Cultural fest and sports competitions are arranged timely.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility of college is available only for first-year male students, however for girl students, it available throughout the whole degree. Options are provided like AC and non AC rooms. I opted for the non-ac one so I would brief about this only. The room is pretty spacious and properly ventilated. It was a two sitter room so we were provided two beds and two almirahs to keep our belongings. Meals were given four times a day which was a good thing. In the morning, we were provided tea along with Poha or Paratha Sabzi. Then at lunchtime, we had to move towards the mess to have lunch for the lunch, we were provided dal rice a vegetable along with raita and salad, which can be said a pretty wholesome meal. For evening snacks, we were provided light snacks like samosas, chow mien, bread pakoras or stuff like that along with tea. After that the last meal of the day, the dinner is usually the same as lunch. the vegetable may change but the same kind of dal is provided.
