The food Allahabad in genearal is a very vegetarian city. You have to go to great lengths to get a good non-veg meal. MNNIT is even worse. The food served in all the hostels is completely vegetarian. Even for a vegetarian, the food is barely edible. This is my fifth hostel and MNNIT food ranks second lowest and barely surpasses St. Anthony’s College’s Stephen Hall‘s food.

I took JEE MAINS exam and scored 70%. I opted this college because this is one of the top ranked National Institute in india and it gives a great placement. The faculty are really intelligence,talented and experienced. The environment of the college is very good. Here is very strict rule for ragging. Students are prepared well for the various company with the help of various projects that is given every yr to every student.

The course that i choosed (electrical engineering) is really good here all the faculties are experienced and talented.The electrical engineering core curriculum focuses on fundamental electrical engineering knowledge: circuits , systems , electromagnetics, semiconductor devices , computer engineering , and design . The rich set of ECE elective courses permits students to select from collections of courses in the seven areas of electrical and computer engineering: bioengineering, acoustics, and magnetic resonance engineering; circuits and signal processing; communication and control; computer engineering; electromagnetics, optics, and remote sensing; microelectronics and quantum electronics; power and energy systems.

Yes our college provide internship because Internships offer carefully planned and monitored work experience with the goal being to gain additional knowledge from on the job exposure. Internships may also be part of an educational program in which students can earn academic credits from their college. Internships may be arranged independently from the curriculum in which students would gain work experience only.

Placements & job opportunities are good.Students are in great demand and they go on to careers in all the major industrial and commercial sectors. Positions currently held by some of our graduates include graduate engineer at Mott MacDonald, program manager in emerging markets operations at Google, project engineer at Atelier One, heat management engineer at McLaren Automotive, associate professor of aeronautics and astronautics at MIT, and environmental engineer at Water Environment Ltd.

MNNIT hosts several annual events and festivals: Renaissance, An entrepreneurship summit Culrav, annual cultural festival, showcases the culture of India through competitions Avishkar, annual national level technical meet Gnosiomania, annual national level quiz festival Josh and Dr. J. Lal Memorial tournament, annual inter college sports event, An annual athletics meet, Swagat, welcoming the first year students, Ruksat, farewell party for final year students.

Scholarships will be given by their respective boards based on their marks in 12th boards.Other scholarships include cbse scholarship of Rs.35000/- per year for students who secured 2000 or less rank in jee-mains exam.Also top 10 students from each branch will be given a stipend of Rs 3000 per year by the institute itself.Other notable scholarships include reliance india scholarship,iet scholarship etc.On an averge 50% of students got scholarship of some kind or the other. Loans are ofcourse needed for financially backward people who cannot afford to pay their fees.Yes loans are easily provided by many banks at reasonable interest rates.Banks like state bank of india,bank of baroda offer loans to students.

MNNIT, Allahabad is a residential Institute accommodate about more than 4500 students in different hostels. There are many good facilities at MNNIT Allahabad:- First of all talking about Internet, 1st year boys have wifi in their hostels at specific places at SVBH Hostel, rest hostels have LAN connection in their rooms. Yes, the speed is quite fast. DC++ has more than tbs of data for sharing. Computer Center is also there for everyone. There’s also wifi facility at library and other areas of academic building. All the classrooms are air-conditioned. You’ll find enough reading materials in Library. You can use Wifi at air-conditioned study room of library. There are basic facilities in labs, though labs lack maintenance but that’s the conditions of most government institutions. Though there are many bad points also but everyone enjoys their stay at mnnit.

MNNIT Alumni Management System provides a neat way of finding co-learners, based on various search criterias. Since it provides a complete database search approach, it can even be used to send mass mailers, bulk SMS to everyone in the database or a group based on a specific search criteria. This helps in organising alumni events and ensure maximum participation. On request the database can also be extended to mark more flags, so that alumni of a specific zone, or some other custom criterias can be easily traced. The system is unique in terms of its multi filter and sort capability.The institute has long had a proud tradition of consistently churning out students who go on to become world renowned engineers, entrepreneurs, scientists, professors and industry leaders.

There will be 2 exams per semester.One is mid-semester which is of 20 marks and other is end-semester which is of 60 marks.Other 20 marks will be awarded by respective professors.Grading system is absolute.Assignments will be given by some lecturers mainly in labs.In some labs like system calls and networking there will be weekly assingments that has to be submitted.

We also have strong links with industry, with many research projects funded by industrial companies. Facilities are excellent: the new Dyson Centre for Engineering Design provides access to traditional hand and machine tools, as well as modern computer-controlled machinery and rapid prototyping; the Design and Project Office is equipped with more than 80 workstations; the library has 30,000 books and takes about 350 journals; and extensive mechanical and electrical workshops are available. The Department’s Language Programme for Engineers offers specialised courses at all levels.
