Remarks

I chose this college as I had done research regarding this course, and many of my peers informed me that this institution held great integrity when it came to the arts. I didn't really have any other colleges in mind, as I was fairly confident in myself that I'd get in. The admission process was quite simple and straightforward. The college overall has a very good ambiance and energy. Faculty members and students around you are very enthusiastic about external activities and not just focused on the curriculum 24/7.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose this course as I had a very big interest towards the film medium and everything about it, and of course all the subjects in the curriculum are quite interesting and really demand your attention. When it comes to faculty members, I wouldn't say everybody is up to the mark but a numbered few are most definitely way up there and have played a key role in igniting a passion in film for most of us. To make up for the lack of faculty, the department brings in individuals from the industry and conducts workshops to balance things out. We only had three written exams each semester as our course is mostly practical oriented. Our final projects were short films, ADs, music videos, documentaries, scripts, etc.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The college will provide us with a letter of recommendation and whatever is necessary, but we are supposed to go out and hunt for internships. Our last semester doesn't include classes, we're supposed to work on an internship for 400 hours, a final project (FILM OR DOC), and a term paper.

Placement Experience

2

So I'm graduating this year and we're still in the last semester. Not much information regarding placements has been given to us because of the situation we're currently in, but I'm expecting them to let us know in the near future.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are moderate and are not too much considering it's a film course (Film courses are usually very high up in the fees range). As for scholarships, the college provides various scholarships for individuals who are financially incapable.

Campus Life

4

Life at the campus was quite fun, people around are always quite friendly and the faculty members are always willing to help with anything that they can. We have a yearly film festival arranged by our club RUSHES FILM CLUB, it's usually conducted in the second years and it's a lot of fun. All sorts of books are available in the library, we have a gym, badminton court, basketball court, a football ground and much more. Many different clubs like Performing arts clubs, debating clubs are basically platforms for everyone to get to know each other.

Interview Experience

4.5

We had to submit our portfolios and go through a basic written test in the initial phase, after which they shortlist candidates for the interview. During the interview, they just ask certain general questions regarding the course and about oneself. After that is cleared one more interview with the Vice Principal/Principal regarding the general rules of the college and you're all good to go.
