Best NIT for CSE

MNNIT is among one of the best NITs of INDIA. The admission process is via AIEEE exams and the Semester start in July. Obviously, it has a good record of placement and my senior was there who guide me to take admission in this college. Good infrastructure and the Computer Science Engineering branch are very popular. Many companies visit there in the 8th semester and almost 100% placement for CSE branch.

I was interested in Computer Science Engineering even though I did not have computer science in my school course but I saw the future and demand of the market and choose CSE. There were about 180 students in our class including DASA quota students and Indian students. The ratio of Girls and Boys were around 20:160. Each faculty is very well experienced and pro in their domain. Faculty took theory classes and M.Tech and PhD students took the practical classes. A total of 180 students was divided into 3 groups of 60 students so that practices can be done in a better way. Exams held every 2 months, 2 times a class test and one final exam of the semester. Exams are relatively on the difficult side. Marking was relative.

Yes, our college internship opportunities but very less only 10-12 students got the opportunity. I did not get the opportunity to take part in the internship because the criteria were a bit high. only students having a GPA above 9 were eligible for internship.

After the 6th semester, everybody is eligible for campus placement. from 7th-semester placements start. for that, you have attested 7 GPA. Every big and small company visited MNNIT. The highest package was around 18 LPA during 2010-14 for Microsoft. 10% placement for CSE. I was planning to join NCR that is why I did not join Infosys in Mysore.

Fees were normal at that time during our session 2010-2014. One semester fees were around 23k and 13k for Mess. It was not hard to study There were banks in the college only that helps students with education loans. I placed in Infosys for a 3.45 LPA package but I did not join the company.

There are so many tests like cultural fest, tech fest and NIT meets. The library was there with a good amount of book and big size library which use to open on Saturday also. Classrooms are equipped with AC, Fans, Wooden fixed benches and an auditorium kind of sitting so that everybody can see the board. The gym, cricket ground and a football ground were there. Auditorium for Convocation, Zests, indoor sports etc. There were so many groups likes dance groups, Art group, marketing group etc. These groups work for all the events happened in the college.

First-year 4 students in one room and it was far from senior's hostels because of ragging. Second-year 2 students in one room, third-year also 2 students in one room. Final year they allot 1 room for one student because placement is done last year. so you got a good time studying.
