Remarks
My college is a well reputed college all over the Rajasthan and since it was established 2 decades ago so it have it's alumni spread all around the country and also some of them doing great in abroad too. Our college focuses upon the all round development of student. The only thing you have to keep in your mind that here you have to choose your peer group so wisely because here all categories of students could be found, here maximum students are distracted from their path and only few of them are ambitious and serious towards their goal atleast in the first year of college. The college takes admission through reap counseling and also direct admission on the few vacant seats left after the counseling. Since the college is in my native state, and also it has good alumni power and due to it's great reputation all over state I prefered this college over others.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have a keen interest in technology and want to explore in a particular field. But due to some reason, I couldn't get a seat in the CSE branch so I applied for the IT branch. The course curriculum of the college is decided by RTU, Kota and all the guidelines issued by the RTU are strictly followed. The faculty-student ratio is about 1:15 which is not soo good but not soo bad also. Here faculties are well experienced but most of them had completed their post-graduation from RTU Kota and other similar local state engineering colleges. As it is commonly said in India that person who couldn't do something in life, chooses teaching as his profession the same could be observed here too. Actually, I am not criticising anyone some of the teachers are really passionate about their work and put in their best efforts to train the students but some just do the formality. But overall growth of a person totally depends upon himself, teacher only provides the right guidance.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, the college provides some internship opportunities but since it is an era of the social network so students usually find their internships from apps like Internshala and some get it through LinkedIn they don't rely much on the college to provide them with an internship opportunity. Students generally themselves take the initiative to find the best possible internship which could help them in future and provide them with an industry exposure.
Placement Experience
Placement is the most important factor while deciding on a college. And why not after all many join the college for job security only. Companies start visiting the college in the mid of the 6th semester and start the recruiting process. Mostly the service based companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, IBM visits the college. You will find very few product based companies visiting the college. Here placement statistics are almost the same as the other similar kind of private colleges. Almost 75-80% of students get placed with a median salary of around 3.50 lakh/annum. And also around 10-15% of students received a package of 6lakh+ / annum. Also, there are 2-3% of students get placed in top MNCs and other product based companies through off campus placement by their hard work and dedication.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are quite affordable here when compared to other private engineering colleges because their fee structure and curriculum is decided by the RTU. Here fees are Rs38,500 /-per semester and also around Rs7000 /- are taken as caution money at the beginning of the first year. Also there is a separate fees charged for the examination form which is Rs 4500/- in the first semester and Rs 1600/- in the rest of the semesters. Scolarship is also provided to the meritorious and economically weaker students. There is a tution fee wavier quota for such kind of students. Also college provides 10-20% scolarship if the fees of next semester is paid in the current ongoing semester only.
Campus Life
Our college has a lush green campus and the size of the campus is not too large but it is sufficient to hang out with friends and spare quality time with them. 'Renaissance' is the name of the annual fest held in the college and it is the 5th largest fest in Rajasthan. Our college focuses upon the round development of the student and maintains a balance between academics and co curricular activities. Many clubs and societies are present in the college and students actively participate according to their interests. Also, there are social clubs like Zarurat, Aashayien, Suhasini, present in the college which work for the social upliftment of the society. There are two libraries present in the college and contains almost all the books related to course curriculum but extra books are not found much in quantity.
Hostel Facilities
There are two hostels present on the campus one is two seaters with a common bathroom and the other is three seaters with an attached bathroom. One almirah and a set of table chair are provided to each individual. There is no cooler or ducting facility provided in the hostel so you have to manage it by yourself. The quality of food is quite ok and you could easily adjust here until and unless you don't have a habit of living a luxurious kind of life. You will definitely get change in the menu and will not receive the same kind of food every day. There is no such specific process for the registration of a Hostel, it's the first come and first, receive kind of thing. Just talk to the authority as soon as possible because seats are so limited here. And if you don't get a hostel then there are lots of private hostels and PG present around.
