SCMHRD MBA BA- Review

I was interested in a Business Analytics Program as the scope of Analytics is increasing with every passing year. SCMHRD was a pioneer in introducing the Business Analytics program which made me choose SCMHRD. The Admission process took place very smoothly and was completely student-driven. It was really encouraging seeing the students conduct such a big task very efficiently. A good college ranking and a reasonable ROI were also some of the other reasons for choosing SCMHRD.

The Business Analytics course is a techno-managerial course which contains subjects relating to both the management aspects as well as the technical aspects. The course structure is revised on a regular basis to include courses that are relevant and in-demand in the industry. This helps a student be more industry-ready when he/she passes out. The faculty is made up of visiting faculties and permanent teachers. The college gives the students the flexibility to provide feedback on a teacher and even get the faculty replaced in case the students are not satisfied with his/her teachings. The exams for the first semester took place online in an MCQ format. They were conducted without any hiccups.

I was offered an internship with BMW India as a Corporate Sales Intern. The task given to me was to analyze the corporate sales for the year 2018,19and 20 and give insights and recommendations on the same. The highest stipend for BA is 2.5 lakhs for 2 months and the average is around 1 lakh for two months.

SCMHRS offers great placements. The summer internship process starts around the month of September and is a week-long activity. Many students get PPO's after performing well in their internships. For others, the final placement process starts in the mid of the 3rd semester. The highest package in BA offered up till now is 24 LPA and the average package is 14 LPA.

The fee structure is very manageable. SCMHRD also did not charge the first-semester hostel and mess fees as the whole semester took place online. The summer placements remained strong even in these challenging COVID times. I got the opportunity to intern with BMW India for my summers as a Corporate Sales Analyst.

Unfortunately, our batch has not been able to experience Campus Life due to COVID-19 imposed restrictions and lockdowns. I got the opportunity to visit the campus only during my admission process rounds. The classrooms are all air-conditioned with a thermostat to control the AC. There are projectors installed in each of the classrooms. The Auditorium is big and well equipped with all the necessary technologies. There are many student-run committees in the college. The college has a separate ground for all the outdoor sports activities.

The first step is clearing the entrance exam by scoring above the cut-off percentile which was around 90 for MBA-BA in SCMHRD in SNAP. The next step is a 60-minute written exam of Mathematics covering topics from CBSE class 12 NCERT. The next round is the WAT or the Written Ability Test. Post WAT comes to the Group Discussion or GD. The final process in the Personal Interview round.
