Roopa M's Review On BMS College Of Engineering - [BMSCE], Bangalore

College management in campus/placement process and teaching staff was not up to the mark.

I took CET entrance examination. I scored overall 152 and branch ranking is 29. This is was the 3rd reputed institution I got for my score.

Course structure was very well. optimized well to understand thoroughly about electronics. Touched up on all necessary basic fundamental of electronics and communication. Very well concentrated on programming part of electronics. We learnt all necessary hardware programming languages and fundamentals/basics which are necessary to deal our career in technology dependent VLSI industry.

I don't know for sure whether our BMSCE college will provide internship or not need to check it i guess may be may be it is different with respect to each engineering stream.

Placement was very good and they use give bit of training also on campus placement process. All tier1, tier2 and tier3 MNC companies use to visit. I think 50% percent of people in our class got selected in campus interview. The major companies are: TCS, Infosys, Kirloskar, Akmai, Netapps and many more. I am not sure about offers details.

We use to celebrate many festivals. Most importantly: BMS Utsav (3 day festival which is use to be very big and students from all others engineering colleges in Bangalore use to attend) Sports day (Concentrated more on different sport activities), Ethnic day.

Since BMS was government aided college, fee structure was feasible. I am really happy about it. Since I got free seat in engineering, I use to pay 18,000/- every year for seat and 5,000/- of college fee which is affordable for middle class family. Very minimal fees which is affordable by all kind of students.

I don't know about scholarship / loan facility offered by our college. I don't know for sure whether our BMSCE college will provide scholarship / loan facility or not. Need to check it. I guess may be.

BMS use to treat all students with equality. All girls and boys use to participate in all events with equal priority. I did not found any politics in that. Our college was best in arranging and scheduling workshops on different new technologies which is very useful to students in one or the other way.

I use to stay in home so I don't know much about hostels and PGs. I heard that BMS has got international hostels where students from all over world use to stay their. Hostel facility was very very nice and hostel fee is very costly. Food was very good and hygienic.

I must say this, our BMS alumni network is very BEST. It will regularly send us notification mails regarding different events happening at college and news on different activities. It also send us invitations to events and programs.

Exam structure was neatly maintained and it use to be very strict. I studied in VTU. So some exam papers use to be very difficult. Lab exams some times use to be tricky and left us with hectic day. Exam rooms were neatly assigned and very well planned.

Faculty was very good and supportive teaching was good. Professors were very supportive and encourage to students. Over all very well educated lectures they were. They use to keep strict internal tests and use to make students to understand the topics well. Practically also, they were very good and elaborate.
