Review on my college

PEC is located on the Poonamalle- Thiruvallur High Road. The lush green campus provides an ideal and congenial atmosphere to pursue education. PEC has highly qualified and experienced faculty members. The pec management has always been generous in recognizing the academic excellence of students. Mentors treat students as their own children and always motivates their mentees. Central has a good collection of books. PEC have many Technical clubs like Data mining, MATLAB, Cloud Computing, Mobile App etc. The mess and the hostel are good. I have joined pec through the Merit in +2.

I have chosen Computer Science because computing enables you to make a positive difference in the world and computing offers great opportunities for true creativity and innovativeness. PEC has highly qualified faculty members. Faculty always motivates students they make students as "Scholars" and also as "Good humans". We have internals once a month and 2-semester exams in a year.

Many companies are offering internships with stipend. Recently I have registered for an internship in-car technologies. Many of my seniors are telling me that the internship opportunities in the college are good and they are getting placement after the internship.

Students of the 3rd and 4th year are eligible for placements. Companies like Amazon, Infosys, IBM, TCS, CTS, cognizant and many more offer placements. In my department 90% of students get placements. The package is 8 lakhs per annum.

The college fees structure is different to hostel students and Day Scholars. They also less the fees if u are a Merit student. Every year college gives scholarship to students who score 8.5 and more cgpa.

The college conducts sports day and college every year. The technical clubs are really helpful to get knowledge and two modern well equipped gymnasium one each for boys and girls has been setup to take care of their physical health and fitness. NSS, YRC, RRC activities are there. APEC bagged many prizes in extracurricular activities and thus proved their mettle in sports and games. The library has a stock of more than 60,00,000 volumes by eminent authors on various engineering and technical and subjects with 11000 titles, 300 National and International Journals.

The hostel is a good accommodation for more than 250 girls on a twin sharing basis with an in house gym, recreating hall for viewing tv programmes, internet browsing and indoor games. The meal quality is okay.

I didn't face anything like a written test. May some students faced it. They see my 10+2 marks and some staff talked to me about my admission and about the CSE department. Some students are joined through the sports quota also.
