Lissah college is characterized by the beauty of western ghats and a clean and attractive campus. Apart from that, the courses taught here are different from other nearby colleges. Bachelors of Science in this college provides the exposure that a psychology student needs.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course to develop a better personality. Class strength is 25-35 and about 9-10 teachers in the psychology department. Some of the teachers have phd and some have MPhil and others Pg in psychology. Term exams are conducted at the University of Calicut. The sem exams were conducted pretty late during the second year, but the exams were on time during the third year. The difficulty level is average.
Placement Experience
There is no placement for bsc students. The career opportunities of a psychology student are extremely vast. A psychology graduate needs to do a post-graduation in psychology to be a psychologist. A psychologist can have a job in the defense field, education, teaching sports, organizational, researches, etc
Fees and Financial Aid
Sem fee is 12000 for bsc psy for three years. Course fees are different. Bsc, as well as Msc, is available. There is no Stipend for any course. No financial assistance is available. No placements are given for bsc psychology. Scholarships are available for those who are eligible as per the post metric and other scholarships for socially backward classes.
Campus Life
The annual fest is named college day and is conducted in February every year. Arts fest is conducted every year in October or September and winners are selected for higher intercollege, Interzone, and inter-district arts fest competitions. Sports day is also conducted. Apart from that, Onam and Christmas are also celebrated well.
