Course Curriculum Overview
1. I chose this course because I have a very optimistic approach to technologies and programming. Infact I love the way technology is growing. I have a good family background in engineering. I love to code the programs and change the functions of the devices. 2. A class has a strength of around 60 students who are managed by 2 professors. The majority of the students are boys. 3. Mostly all of them are graduated from decent colleges but some are graduated from that colleges as well. Few have a degree of Mtech also. Few have done their Btech from abroad as well. The teaching style is very unique. Their way of teaching is very creative and innovative. They believe more in practical knowledge than theoretical knowledge. 4. 2 semesters are there in a year and each of them has 2 mid-semester papers along with many assignments, practicals, and industrial visits. As this college is affiliated with RTU, it is tough enough to pass the exams.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies like byju, TCS, IBM, Infosys, etc offer the internship (some with stipend of around 8k to 10k and some without stipends as well). You have to make several projects in your four years to make your CV strong.
Placement Experience
From the 6th semester, the student becomes eligible for campus placements. The placements in our college are not so good. The average package for CS, IT, and AI&DS is 4.5 lac and the rest of them have 3.5 lac. Few students also get a good package around 7-10 lac. Several companies visit every year like byju, TCS, Accenture, Capgemini, Infosys, Microsoft, etc. and around 1700 students get placed in 2020-2021 which is around 80-85% of students gets placed. I plan to do a corporate job after completing my Btech.
Fees and Financial Aid
1. The fee hike is not there, the fee will remain the same every year. Like for ex. in 1st year your fees are 84500, then all the four years it will remain the same i.e., 84500. 2. Basically there's no scholarship offered by the college but yeah RTU offers you based on your merit and caste. 3. You will get a 10% - 30% concession in fees which is offered by the college periodically. 4. The average package for the CSE dept is 4.5 lac but for other branches, it is 3 to 3.5 lac. 5. Some students are offered good packages also. 6. Some go for off-campus placements also. 7. No college has 100% placements.
Campus Life
The social life in this college is much good as compared to other RTU colleges. The name of the annual fest organized by our college is "Renaissance". It is a top-class fest. The students only wait for this the whole year. It is organized around October/November. Many cultural programs are also organized. Food stalls and games are organized by the students. The name of the tech fest organized by our college is "Smart India Hackathon" which is organized at the national level. It is organized around November/December. Many students participate with their creative project ideas. Some of them also come with startup ideas. We have 2 libraries, 1 for 1st year and the big one, the 2nd one is for seniors. All the books are available there. But it is not 24x7. In sports, our college is not that good but that's okay. We have many sports like cricket, football, basketball, tennis, badminton, chess, etc. We have around 14-15 clubs of different categories, you can enroll in any club.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is not so much good. College hostels don’t have good infrastructure. There are 2 categories of rooms available: double (Rs. 1.4 lac) and triple (Rs. 1 lac). They provide 3-course meal i.e., breakfast, lunch, and dinner with high tea time in the evening. The menu is decided by the cooks and hostel warden along with the managing staff. The room consists of bed, study table, wardrobes, and a chair. You have to bring the rest of the stuff. Rules are strict for the college hostel. The registration process is very simple. You just have to fill a form and submit the half amount of the fees and they will show you your room. They are very expensive as compared to the rented room or PGs which are outside the colleges. I have rented a PG in Sitapura only outside the college premises which have 3 categories: single (Rs. 80k), double (Rs. 70k), and triple (Rs. 60k) including a 3-course meal. I recommend you take the PG outside the college premises.
